| I honestly still don't understand what his goal is, I understand that he wants to cure vampires, yet at the same time he wants to have revenge on them? I would appreciate it if someone could explain what his main goal is. Also, is luna a male or female? |

He wants to erase any trace of Luna, because to him, all Vanitas wanted to be is Human, but that’s not an option ain’t it? He’ll continue to cure vampires because he’s looking for the one who took Luna’s name and he might find them while curing those vampires and destroying those curses that steal names. He doesn’t care about vampires per se, he just needs to cure any vampire he can find to see if that vampire is bearing the curse he’s after. |

Because if there is someone who have Luna's true name, means that even if Luna died, fragment of Luna existance still exist in this world. So he needs to search someone who stole Luna true name. If he cures vampire, it can lead him to find someone who has Luna's true name. Why he want revenge on Luna? Because he can't forgive Luna. Why he can't forgive Luna? Still not clear, can only give prediction. I mean, some people said maybe it's because he can't be human anymore but considering it's this author, you can't be sure until you see it yourself ๐ I don"t remember Vanitas ever said it's because of that. | Maybe Luna is a hermaphrodite. Here's my two cents: I think Vanitas wants to save the vampires of the red moon, using the power of the vampire of the blue moon whom they banished ages ago. Basically he is saving them out of spite for their mistake and in in order to honour the memory of Luna who he feels affection for after he/she helped him. |
