Yeah maybe. But season 2 is anime original.

Season 1 and all of Tokyo Ghoul: RE follow the source material. So when you start Tokyo Ghoul Re, it pretends like Season 2 never happened.

Tokyo Ghoul Re is only kind of bad because they rushed it too much and didn’t explain things. The story is actually good, just rushed.

Edit: i thought you were asking if season 2 was better, but if you are asking if the final season is better than yes, I think so. The ending is still really good.

It's much worse. It's disjointed af, they even cut out some characters entirely and overall it feels more like a fan made animated summary, than an actual season

I love season 4! Please watch it, just because the ending makes the whole season worth it and it has its symbolic moments throughout as well.
Though it is a bit rushed compared to the rest of the anime, it’s still a must watch part.

Not really. Part 2 cuts so many stuff. If you don’t really care, finish the anime and then read the manga. Well re part 1 is almost a perfect adaptation. Where it gets different is from vol7 until the end

I ratet both 4/10, but i think the last season was a better watch, maybe because of the ending and some of its moments were enjoyable.. not expect the level of season one or two unfortunately.

This part is bad, but the final season is just garbage. They cut and rush through the entire manga, nothing makes sense and the pacing is all over the place. I am currently reading the manga from the beginning, even season 1 of this anime isn't good compared to the manga.

It was absolutely horrible I fell asleep so many times or was on my phone the entire time and god damn was it boring. It ruined every expectation I had from the manga of it being amazing and RE being absolute shit.
