| I was trying to get into this series sooner or later BUT good god nearly 1000 episodes? I have heard about its anime having quite the pacing issue and mediocore animation for most parts.... So is the manga the best route? Moreover, Is it really worth getting into in the first place? Coz I have either heard people calling it a straight up masterpiece or some saying it is 'just another overrated piece of fiction' tbh. |

| While I'm a big supporter of the Anime I if you think you can read the manga then go for it, you don't lose anything other than the voices and music and you basically skip all the filler. Ideally both work but in the Anime in recent years (from around episode 600) it's where the pacing issues start, in short, episodes now last like 15 minutes cuz the opening and summary take about other 9 minutes. Ultimately it's up to you, both have its pros and cons but if you don't wanna deal with annoying pacing or filler (it isn't that bad) then the manga might be your best bet. Is it worth it getting into One Piece? for sure |

| just read the manga and then watch your favorite arc in anime. manga take less time and anime has the pacing problem. |
