I never rewatch any anime but steins gate was the only one I wanted to rewatch and after rewatching I picked up on so many little details that I missed in my first time Watching and it made me appreciate steins gate even more. Its just me or happens with others also. What are your thoughts?

Edit: thankyou guys for replies I can conclude that it was not just me

Any good anime is like that. But if Steins Gate gets remade I definitely would want Shaft to pick it up I think it'd look stunning. However Steins Gate doesn't need a remake this anime is a more than perfect adaptation of the visual novel even adding extra content that in my opinion improved on it. Wanting a remake is unnecessary and greedy.
that's not I meant πŸ˜… adaption is good compared to vn but my plss read my thread again

Idk but I wanted to rewatch one more time too since I don't really remember any scene because I watched it many years ago, and I want to see movie and 0 versions.

I didn't really like it when I first watched it partly because of how I've watched other time loop anime like Erased and Re:Zero beforehand. The weird humor and quantum physics jargon really threw me out of the loop too.

However
I picked up the visual novel years later and I'm actually loving it. I suppose that a rewatch would make it more enjoyable now that I'm actually invested in the story~

So for me its hard to rewatch some anime like Steins Gate just because I know what events will get us to the good route already. At most I can watch it again and see if I can see any clues that we don’t notice like small timeline differences over the main ones we all know but I will never be as happy as when I went through it the first time. That does not mean its a bad anime at all.

I have this same issue with death note since I know whats gonna happen. Best I can do is see if there were hints dropped that L missed or where Light could have came out on top.

A re-watch will definitely make you appreciate it even more, the first time I was watching it I've found the 1st half decent but nothing to go crazy over, it was a 7/10 for me and the 2nd half was a perfect 10/10 for me.

However, in my re-watch I've appreciated the 1st half even more and now I consider the 1st half a 8.5/10 because of it and the 2nd half got a 11/10 for me as well.

Yes, re-watch S;G 100%. Then watch the movie and S;G 0, because they are also awesome. As are the games, which are even better than the anime. After that go all in and watch/read Robotics;Notes and the other Science Adventures stories too ... at which point it's time to watch S;G again (I may need help).

Abasof*ckinglutely, I remembered enjoying it more in the 2nd watch since I start to realise things I never noticed the first time I watched it, like how suzuha acts or the several number of things in episode 1 that were directly linked to episode 23.

I recently watched the show again with a friend who hadn't seen it before. I was worried maybe my memories exaggerated how good it was, but I think I liked it even more this time around. I think part of that is due to the nature of the show— with all the time travel stuff set up even from the first episode, you can really appreciate the intricacy of it all on a rewatch.

Nah, its one of those once in a lifetime animes, you won't get the same feeling if you rewatch it (unless you didn't understand the plot, or some parts of it).
