| I am not sure if I missed an explanation somewhere in the series, but what happens to a death note user after he/she dies? At the start of the series Ryuk explained that someone who uses the death note wont go to heaven or hell, so I’ve been wondering where the user of the death note ends up after his/her death. |

| I'm pretty sure that the implication in the anime was that there's nothing after death, which is basically confirmed at the end of the manga on the final page where it's mentioned that everyone disappears into nothingness, but the anime didn't adapt that part. Of course some people think that Death Note users become shinigami when they die, but that's an anime-based theory. |

| Heavily implied to be the Shinigami realm though without your human memories where you basically become a new person (Or Shinigami) as seen at the end of Rewrite. Though if we go by the definition of what ็ก(Mu) means which translates to nothing, you literally become nothing or non-existent. Well think back to your existence before you were born, were you conscious of yourself? Figured not, that's what ็ก(Mu) is so you don't have to worry about flying around in heaven with a halo on your head and your dick hanging out your toga neither will you burn in the lake of fire and fry till the 4th of July. |
