| New Nasu blog entry on the BBB diary regarding the Solomon movie: I got to watch the movie before everyone else. I just have one brief comment. Everything I wanted to see was there! The screenplay had a special format (Nasu writing the full story first and then they adapting that into a proper movie script), so some scenes were obviously omitted due to time constraints, but the final product was a movie good enough to make those cuts not matter in the bigger picture. It successfully adapted the game into a movie through a different approach from the Camelot movies. Not only that, but it also became a 90 minute traditional blockbuster everyone should watch. Anyways! Everyone who beat Part 1 needs to give it a try! Really! The first 7 Singularities were missions to explore and return alive, but the Final Singularity is a mission to exterminate and win. The need to prioritize the Master's life is no longer applying. The Master uses his body and Magic Circuits to become a Servant-summoning weapon even if it kills him... This is Fujimaru Ritsuka's role in the Final Singularity and Chaldea's responsibility in preserving Human Order. Chaldea was supposed to be a research facility but had to operate as an army for one year out of necessity. Make sure you don't miss their final mission. The movie really made me wish you were required to watch it before you played the Garden of Lost Will in chapter 6 part 2. Oh, by the way, the official English names for the "saccharine dream", "dusky abyss", "despondency", and "those without sin" are New Home, Horizon, Lost Will, and Heavenly, respectively. | Sanda tweet thread about writing for Mikiya. Honestly, I couldn't imagine myself ever writing Ryougi (Kokutou) Mikiya until very, very recently... Due to his sacred cow status among Type-Moon, my fingers are shaking as I type this tweet. Note that while you can start the Lord El-Melloi series from the first volume of Adventures, some lines and clues in it reference its prequel, Case Files. Kara no Kyoukai is a very special story to me, and I vividly remember myself imagining how much I'd enjoy talking and collaborating with the author back when I finished reading the 2001 version. (When I brought my copy to a conversation with Nasu, he said I needed to seal that out-of-place artifact, if I recall correctly.) That's precisely why I was so nervous to write Mikiya and so glad when Nasu approved pretty much everything on the first try (although I needed a lot of corrections for Mana's dialogue and personality, as expected for a character with barely any lines on her debut work). Writing this often took me back to 20 years ago, when I'd take walks under the cloudy sky thinking about how much I'd enjoy writing him. One more thing about the cover. The cover composition was suggested by the Type-Moon team, as always. Since we're doing a new series, we decided to go for a different style from Case Files. Seeing Mikiya, Mana, and the name Wandering Sea all together in the same image, even feel like I opened a jack-in-the-box. | Gray about Mikiya from the first chapter: Gray's enhanced hearing allows her to tell a lot about a person's personality from the sound of their footsteps. There are overbearing steps, elegant steps, cautious steps, but when Mikiya approaches it's the first time she hears completely normal steps. She mentions Mikiya's iconic eye-covering bang, but adds that he's so overwhelmingly ordinary that this unusual detail on him manages not to stand out. This volume is still getting translated, so we may get that piece of info as the translation moves along. Also, you'd still get "not happening in this timeline doesn't mean it doesn't happen in other timelines" :p |

| Hollow Ataraxia. I don't see ufotable or TM letting Stay Night go without extra milking just yet. Also, Shimosa. It's ridiculously popular in Japan and doesn't depend on what comes after to work as standalone series/movies. |
