| Was there use of cgi in the first ep. Because in the first season I saw no use (if I can remember correctly), where as this ep, at times the animations looked 3d and not smooth. Still this ep was amazing |

| If OP is refering to some of the animation in the skits, I believe it's more of a stylistic choice. It would be useful if they gave some specific examples. In terms of season 1, I can remember the scene in episode 2 where Kanna and Tohru were 'roughhousing'. The shot that was completely of grass swaying to the wind was definitely CGI. Otherwise, there is always the occassional use of CGI in background vehicles and background non-named characters. Leysoh said: Yes there was, only once. The purple liquid was drawn, and the effects on it were put in post to make it appear more glossy. Besides, they've got enough experience animating liquids at this point from Free! over the years that there isn't a need to use CGI for this scene. If anything, the only CGI used in the episode would be background cars, the scene with the handles on the train, and potentially the scene where Ilulu is introduced as she descends to the ground and where Ilulu and Tohru were fighting mid-air whilst the camera was slowly rotating around the city. There's also the ending sequence with the rotating buildings/structures that match each of the chorogons. Otherwise, the CGI was used rather well imo. |

| Everything uses CGI. If you notice the CGI, it's badly used. If you don't, it's well used. Simple as that. |
