Baccano!
The main cast makes up half of the characters but there are definitely evil people with a main role. The anime comes from 2007, which might not fit your preferences in animation.

Great Pretender
Although nobody is particularly a villain, the main characters are still scammers, which is antagonistic in a lawful sense. The animation in this one is rather clean and unique compared to those of past generations.

Also, don’t watch Redo of Healer. It may fit some your requests but it is definitely a horrendous piece of work.

You are wrong, a main character could be an antagonist. Protagonist and the main character are not necessarily the same thing and could be two different characters. For more info about the subject

And antagonist is the person whos in opposition of the Main character despite of being evil or good.

Prime example is Death Note, Ligh became villain but he was still the protagonist and L was in opposition of Light but he was still the antagonist.
