It's finally over. They make some awful CGI but they somehow able to make a quite good 2d animation at eps 24, quite impresive. Not the best fight animation but it's quite good even after they had to redo some animation (check other thread to see the detail) . And also I won't do a poll since I'm asking for opinion not score

Edit: Damn, they also did quite good job at animating Kumo's evolution (put a lenny face here)

They made a lot of changes after she became known as the mythical beast and it has deviated a lot from source material but overall good ig i hope it doesn't turn out to be bad if they release a second season
Blah blah blah blah .... So annoying. Are you bastards in heat or something?

It's great and also not satisfactory, which was fine for me. Acknowledging Millipensee's effort is pretty much the only thing you can do.

I still prefer the manga
"We are all like fireworks: we climb, we shine and always go our separate ways and become further apart. But even when that time comes, let's not disappear like a firework and continue to shine.. forever."

I started to read the LN a couple months ago, and I right where the barrier of the elf village comes down.

This is the first time ever reading a LN of an anime series. Only once I read the manga (Promised Neverland), also been reading Sleepy Princess but that isn't a deep story.

I think they left a lot of details out of the anime, and people disliked the human part of the story because of that. We don't see that Katia has to admit she is a girl when she realizes she is falling in love with Shun. Anime is keeping that out, but I am hoping the LN has some romance between the 2 in the future.

Other then the ugly CGI, I enjoyed watching the series and it become more enjoyable as I read the LN and knew a lot more of the details. I feel like they wanted the vampire battle and the elf battle to conclude the first season so they cut out parts to make it all fit.

Maoujo de Oyasumi (Sleepy princess) is a Slice of Life Comedy manga, what do you expect?

Well they covered around 5 and a half volumes of content and got all the major plot points and characters set up which is what I’m looking for from LN adaptations first and foremost.
CGI was pretty terrible at times and they did give their best effort with the CG but I guess that was the trade off w all the story progression and scenes to cover.
Season 2 would be amazing to see, and they ended s1 exactly where I hoped to leave room for a possible sequel. The story goes way beyond a simple isekai premises that what we’ve seen so far and the story has some awesome action, images and plot twistsso it’ll be interesting to see how they handle that animation wise
Overall I’d say this season got the story 10/10 for 5 volumes, and animation 7.5-8/10 with the CGI being far from perfect but not ‘unwatchable’ in the human scenes and being quite decent for Kumo’s and Demon Lord battles.

I love the LN and don’t agree with some of the changes and hate how the human side was butchered. The elf battle was the highlight of volume 5 and the Wakaba reveal was meaningful in the novels but in the anime it was just meh. Aside from that some of the spider scenes were done well. Personally I’d rate this around a 6.5.
Sasuke or Kaneki I can't decide

It’s pretty sad to get an adaptation like this, with this poor animation especially on human side and just bad decisions. Started reading the LN’s just when Kumoko left the Labyrinth and man, the source material is great, the anime butchered a lot of the characters, not only on human side, but also kumo side, like Guli-Guli. It was still popular though, made me get the physical LN’s lol so I guess the anime did its job althougu this story deserved more… 86 got 11 episodes for 1 novel, we got 24 for 5 vols. I guess it’s likely we will still get a 2nd season.

6/10 adaptation.

Mandatory start reading from Vol 1, but the story just ends at Vol 5, so 6 it is.

Official answer, 6.

But they cut so many things I would recomend volume 3 as the starting point. 1 and 2...not so many important stuff was cut, and those were the weaker volumes.
