The anime and manga were getting too close to each other, they taking a break with the anime so the manga can progress further away and plus give more content and materials for the anime.

wrong, there’s really not enough source to bring the anime back. Manga is still on the spade kingdom arc

We don’t know why they took a break, and we don’t know when, or even IF, the anime is going to come back. All we know is that they have announced a movie for the series, but we don’t know when said movie is going to come out, or when we’re even going to see a PV. Besides the fact that we know a movie is coming in the future, everything is pure speculation right now.

Ofcourse your wrong. The movie will air sometime in winter 2022, and new episodes will air after many years of it, coz manga doesnt have much content now to make whole new episodes. Its studio pierrot we are talking about, if the movie releases in 2022, the anime wont continue before 2026.

Dude let’s be honest, the anime wasn’t doing bad by any means so they didn’t cancel it for that reason l, take a look at episode 170 and the chapters it took to adapt to even have a episode 170, that’s too fricking close to the manga a.k.a the source material, a.k.a the material needed to create a anime episode so of course it’s coming back, that’s why we’re getting a movie because at least then they can qualm the confusion and wait time, don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise becaus they clearly haven’t seen enough anime to understand otherwise does this answer your question?

I'm pretty sure that there will be many more episodes...I haven't read the manga but i realise that anime got too caught up and it was the right choice to take a break for 2 reasons.1. animators overworked af...2. if they didn't they'd eventually do the same thing fma did and split from manga and everything would be kinda weird....Like this there is time for manga to get chapters and material...Next...I think movie will be either the few training days before invasion to Spade, or some side story...like...idk....trip to Yami's country ( that's just what came to mind.... could be anything really)...and i feel like just thise training days have a lot of interesting stuff for a movie...And a movie can't like...get everything in it....there is still a lot that canbe done with the story...the spade arc is not the last on

If they make 2nd season only 12 episodes, then they should have more than enough material by Fall season

I prefer that they make it seasonal every year than waiting for 3 years for another 100+ episodes

There’s an upcoming movie which will likely be released sometime next year. How well the movie does, will probably a deciding factor whether the anime will return. If the movie does well, it will return, possibly even on a seasonal schedule if it does extremely well.

Besides, the anime was catching up to the manga. It was also smart for them to put the anime on hiatus, considering the bad schedule and being a weekly anime, they won’t be able to handle the upcoming fights in the current arc.
