| MAL scoring is irrelevant towards anything but the lives of its regulars. It makes money as an anime and it makes money as an IP overall. So there will be season 3. Problem is: what is the story? There's no story more dramatic than Tokai Teio's in Japan's horseracing industry (or any horseracing industry, actually). Most stories in this industry are either rugs-to-riches stories, or stories of great achievement/total domination, or stories of rivalry. There are occasional different kind of stories, but all of these "different stories" are either comedies or tragedies. Teio's has elements of 2 and 3 (obv), but the main theme of his career is redemption. So if they want to make a Season 3 that can at least be one step below Season 2 (so that the gap isn't that far), they need to think something good, real good. ps.: well, if there's a Season 3, it will prob be based on Cinderella Gray. |

Like how they did to Cinderella Gray and the game, there's possibility they might go down with semi original/original plot. Though of course, the biggest downside is the lack of or even no historical reference at all. |
