I'm not sure if I should start watching One Piece even tho it has a lot of episodes?
Why is it good or bad in your opinion?

Why does everyone ask this question to op fans on the daily. Do you expect us to say no its the greatest series ever and everyone will recommend it to you. If you do watch, watch at your own pace its not a race to finish although when you get into it you will want to enjoy the journey with strawhats.

You definitely should start it, of course if you have enought time for 900+ eps. In my opinion, One Piece is a must to watch. It will make history once it will be ended. I dont know your tastes on anime, but i think you’d like it. Dont judge it by first eps/arcs, it will get better after any arc. You can skip filler eps if you want, but dont skip any other ep ‘cause even if it can look like an useless episode, it will be important for episodes to come. I remember i watched a scene on 300 ep more or less, and only in this current arc you will know the answer. That’s the beauty of one piece, everything will make sense in the end

Why is it good... Well the characters are really good I would say that's the shows strongest asset. There are so many characters and there all so good. With the exception of those we're supposed to hate they're easy to love or find interest in.

Another great thing about one piece of the world, it's absolutely massive and feels so alive with all the moving pieces of the past present and future. All the lore on the different islands that all tie into the the massive plot the show is building towards.

But the best thing about being a one piece fan is the thoeries and the community (especially on Reddit and YouTube) there's so much mystery going on in the show that you can get immersed in theories online with other people and it really gets you excited to find out more.

One piece will start off as a fun adventure but as Luffy learns more about the world so will u and the show with get more serious while still keeping most of its light hearted fun. It's truly a wonderful experience but it takes commitment to get started.

I think it worth watching even if the number of episodes may seem intimidating. It has great characters, engaging fights, funny moments that can really relax you, but what I loved most is how friendship is presented.I've watched many anime and I can tell One piece has the best perspective on friendship I've met so far!

Watch the East blue, and if you somehow don’t like it then drop it. IMO it is the greatest story ever. I think that nothing comes close when it comes to the characters, world-building, and just overall story and the way it is all connected. However you may not like it as much as me. I say just give it a shot.

Coming from someone who wasn’t sure to start “One Piece” or not. I think you should start it. I read the six volumes of the “One Piece” manga to see if I should watch it or not. I had to put it “On Hold” because i’m watching other anime’s right now, but I plan on getting back to it.
But if you do end up watching it, I say don’t force yourself to watch it if you’re not enjoying it. This might sound crazy but once you actually enjoy watching something, it will seem like you’re flying thru all the episodes. :)
Long story short, I think “One Piece” is worth watching. There’s a lot more than Luffy & his crew reaching their goals. To me, it’s more about adventure! :) Thanks for reading.

I started One Piece earlier last month (around the fifth if I recall correctly)
I am now at episode 265
I can say that despite the horrible pacing, dragged out fights, and jokes that are usually shoved in the wrong places, One Piece is one of the best Shonen animes
So far I've been enjoying it a lot and I definitely think it's worth the amount of episodes it has, even though I'm not that far in

Sure give it a try and don't try to force your self or just catch up because that's what I did at the beginning and that's why I didn't like the first 200 episodes except arlong park it gets much better after 200 episodes just finished water 7 and enies lobby and they been so GOOD compared to the beginning

NGL Arlong park is probably the only arc I didn't like xD

Yes, the start may be a little slow but once the main cast is introduced it gets really good, the interesting characters, art style and design, along with the plot(no all that good, fits the classic shonen main goal with minor deviations in the form of arcs). Even tho my opinion is pretty invalid and I’m on episode 11 cause I started watching DBZ I think you should give it a watch : )

yes you definitely should ^-^
the first (<100?) episodes are my favorites.. it starts slow with ruffy just "gathering" his crew which is quite enjoyable ^-^
I don't really think there is something bad about OP besides its horrible pacing after, I would say, episode 400... so if you like the story I would recommend you to watch it first and then start reading the manga when you reach the thriller bark arc

why is animation such a big deal for people there’s a lot more that goes into a show other than just animation the voice acting in one piece is good the music is pretty good and the openings are great and for it’s time one piece’s animation is pretty good at some parts definitely not as bad as people make it out to be

for me its pretty good also i think you should watch it dont think about the episodes its more like an anime you watch throughout your free time like if you have nothing to watch just watch 2 or 1 episode of one piece a day

yes, you should watch one piece it gets really good at episode 196 and 227. I recommend watching all the animes you really wanna watch before, because this is a commitment. I also recommend a break at some point it makes it so much better coming back. :)

Watching one piece is really dangerous
Cause when i first watch this a year ago during pandemic at first i only watch 3 episodes a day then when i finally got into arlong arc i binged the whole thing in about 2 months and that 2 whole months im just in my room lock up and watching one piece it's really dangerous so you should control yourself if you get addicted by it just watch 6 episodes a day or maybe read the manga cause you can finished it for only about 2 weeks if you binged the manga.......

Yes you should start watching! You know why? Because you might like it, and if you do, you’ll be grateful for so many episodes, and even if you don’t like it no harm done. In my opinion it doesn’t take a long time to get into. Arlong Park is the first arc that feels distinctly one piece, and in my opinion if you don’t like it, then one piece is probably not for you. arlong park starts at around episode 30. Every arc afterwards seems to get better and better.

As for why I like one piece, it a story with incredible depth. At first it seems so simple( and maybe even a bit basic) but there is ALWAYS more to the story. Dots connect in the most random and satisfying of places. To top it off, the characters are stellar. And hilarious. This is one of the few anime to actually make me consistently laugh out loud. Have fun watching!

, then you should watch it because it 's longer then any other shonen. It will be a full package for you with great comedy, sadness,nice character, amazing fighting, great flashback of every character, outstanding world/story building, mystery, and a lot of life lessons. I'm currently at episode 374 and I'm in love with "ONE PIECE." Dont think about animation, it gets better later. The voice actor were also good. Better, you give it a try until episode 40.You won't regret after that.

Personally I like the manga better. It's more consistent with its art style plus you get to see all the questions that fans ask And detailed answers from Oda Sensei (especially the dirty ones) ;)
