You guys already know about anime fans saying that we may die or others had died before seeing the ending of an anime. What are your thoughts on it?
"I think I wanted to attack something. Like betraying people or hurting people. And, well, it's not exactly nice, but hurting the readers too... In all honestly, I feel that's what I really wanted to do. For me, as a reader, when I think, "this manga will remain in my heart," it means, for example, it phenomenally hurt me: It's those kinds of experiences I'm after." - Pajime Hisayama (My favourite hurting author).

snk will finish soon and few deaths are normal but I am talking about bigger number.

Yeah, this anime is older than my mother and father :D
“In the battlefield, there is no place for hope. What lies there is only cold despair and a sin called victory, built on the pain of the defeated. All those people who met there have wholeheartedly admitted the evil and foolishness of this act called war. As long as people don’t repent and don’t regard it as the most evil taboo, then hell will endlessly reappear in the world.”

Yes, that was my vote. I watched Sazae-san on TV when I was in late elementary school in the early 1970s in Japan. I would presume that there is a good possibility that a classmate or neighbourhood, friend who watched that show in those days is no longer amongst us.

Well, HxH and Berserk because they'll most likely never finish, Sazae-san because it's been going on since the 70s, and Doraemon because it was created in the the late 60s and the creator died

where is Detective Conan in the poll??

Anyway, the obvious answer is Sazae-san since it's the oldest title that it's still currently airing.

Probably a few Gundam fans from the UC that want to see a definitive ending for that timeline in anime. The first Gundam from the UC was released in 1979-1980.

one piece and hunter x hunter take the cake.

hahaha. What if it never ends due to the legacy of having most episodes?

From my perspective Sazae-san has had a longer consecutive episode run than Doraemon. So yes, it’s bigger in that sense. In terms of popularity Doraemon is the winner. Likewise, in terms of longevity, I’d say Doraemon will last longer based on it still being popular with today’s kids. To me, Sazae-san is like a cultural institution which will fade away as its fan base slowly shrinks on account of aging.

Has to be Sazae-san, but in terms of people actually being excited to see them continue and eventually end, it's Berserk. Who knows when Miura will vanish again to come back and release more chapter irregularly for like 6 months.

I mean Sazae-san has been going on for 52 years at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if many of it's original fans are dead by now considering it was always popular with a relatively older audience.

I believe it will be Sazae-san and Doraemon as both have started the series in the 60s and 70s respectively, and are not showing any signs of ending. Some of the fans of early days would have been very old now and some may have already passed on.

Doraemon is very popular among kids (and adults as well) and is still airing in many countries by which it has franchising companies for the anime production. The series also has a movie every year. This is indeed a series that can withstand the test of time.

Long live Doraemon!
