Akame ga KILL!
| So I just finished this show and I thought it was enjoyable characters were cool, plot was interesting, violent, fight scenes were great. Why do so many people hate it? I know almost everyone dies and esdeath ended up with tatsumi (she was sexy lol). I never read the book I just watched this show on netflix and I liked it finished it in 5 days. |

| Because they want to find meaning in every death. And they don't know that in real life not all deaths have meaning. And evils are going to be evil. And there are tons of people that are evil for the sake of evil. They simply think that everyone have a "good" reason for being evil. But that isn't always the case. This anime is simply to realistic to how things were back in time. Although the anime was realistic in these situations but also very generic in things like the characters and power system. Personally i liked it, 8/10 or 7/10 i dont remember which one was it. But the reason people hate it is because they dont want deaths that are meaningless so they think that the deaths are only so we become sad. It kinda is but that's not the whole point. Another point is war is extremely sad thing and death isn't waiting for you Edit : also lack of character development. Because yes this anime follows the logic that someone won't change easily( like most time in real life) So of course there wont be any character development. Although i like character developments, i dont mind if there isn't any. Like "Guilty pleasure" |

| I never finished this because I wanted a happy ending (read the manga). Still, many people tend to be displeased with this show because it unjustifiably kills off characters and lacks a bit of world-building/political building, etc. I would even go as far as to say that the characters' "uniforms" don't fit with the tone/setting of the anime. These are just a few reasons, though, and it really depends on what you watched it for. If you don't care about the small details or don't critically analyze whatever you're watching, then it really doesn't matter. |
| IMO the only interesting character is Esdeath. The rest of the show was kind of boring or infuriating. |

| The show is very tonally inconsistent. One scene is trying to be emotional but fast forward 1 frame later Lione is cracking a joke. The characters feel lifeless and dull, have no personalities whatsoever, the worldbuilding is dogshit and the show feels like its trying to force me to cry when they kill of a character for no reason but fails hard because they do nothing to actually earn an emotional reaction. I watched it as 13 year old kid and liked it but it doesn't hold up whatsoever on rewatch when you have to think about it, which the show wants to do to, take it seriously. |
| It got me hooked (unlike fmab or hxh) and I enjoyed it thoroughly. I think mal become ign and went :- "too many deaths" -ign 1/10 |

| I couldnt care less about the manga. It bothers me how some people automatically write off a serious just because it wasnt 100% faithful to the manga. Who cares if its different? Its anime. If you dont like it you have the manga to enjoy. That being said I finished the anime yesterday and I was quite dissapointed. I binged it in one go and I really enjoyed it up to episode 19 then it just went downhill. Fights felt less impactful and some were cut short. I also felt like some deaths were forced just for shock value. They didnt shock me at all tbh I didnt feel much for any of the characters except for maybe Bols and Leone. It just got a bit silly by the end. I also was never a fan of the MC as he was very average. It bummed me out because I was really enjoying it. Not even sure what score to give it. |
