So like my title says, this other then beastars has been the first anime I've actually started with intent to finish. Its definitely drawn me in as someone who has been a musician for a long time. I also appreciate the like instruments actually being like Les Pauls and Korg and Fender. Id love to find more like this in the future.

May I recommend https://myanimelist.net/anime/27989/Hibike_Euphonium? It's pretty different from K-ON, but animated by the same studio. Considering that you had some interest in the realism of the instruments, I feel like you might like it.

I've got it added to my plan to watch list, thank you for the reccomendation! I'm gonna try out Bofuri after K-On but I'll watch this one after Bofuri!

Maybe its a musician thing, but the fact they even took the steps to get what an electric guitar, not plugged in, sounds like was a big deal to me because my most shows don't go that far.

My only complaint with this show is I wish they would have kept the S1 opening theme

yeah it was one of the first anime i've watched as well. it's easily off putting for a lot of people i guess because it can seem boring and pointless to watch 5 high schoolers drink tea, eat cake and play the guitar but when it clicks it's really the best anime ever tbh
