I wanna catch up to it and continue with the manga from where the current episode in the anime left off. Is this like a panel-for-panel adaptation? Are there any major changes? Skipped scenes or something like that?

It’s pretty good, they’ll cut out the occasional scene but otherwise it’s done near perfect.

It’s a great adaptation. The irony of JJK fans loving this adaptation from Mappa whilst you have the simultaneous discourse from AOT fans 😂

Best adaptaion after a long time. Can ensure the length of anime is gonna be impressive. Better start watching now. Generally 8-10 manga chapters make an episode. I think hardly 2 chapters are considered when it comes to jujutsu kaisen. So the adaptation is bang on scene to scene.

It’s follows it super well. Mappa, I think that’s who animated it, does a very good job with the fight scenes.

Panel to panel, you can nitpick some stuff but ultimately it’s a one to one adaptation. The pacing and shots are all the same and artwork is surprisingly accurate. If they continue with this then my god this will be an anime to remember, look forward to past gojo mission and shibuya arc, they are magnificent

Yes, mappa was given time to make this adaptation amazing. Attack on titan would be just as good if they had the same time and effort that they had making jjk. Another reminder that mappa isn’t to blame, they’re doing good all things considered

it's pretty good so far! i started reading the manga after watching the anime until ep.13 because i was very curious about what was gonna happen... and they are doing really well with the adaptation! i highly recommend you to read the manga because the story is great and it gets even better from vol.7 :)

To the jjk manga readers
Upto the latest chapter , is there any romance between Itadori and kugisaki or Did Itadori has someone or this manga has no romance ?

There’s a one off joke chapter with a girl for itadoris old school that’s about her trying to date him and megumin and kugisaki help her but other than that no romance is hinted at, the last arc was a gojo past mission and this arc is serious and focused, so no romance so far not do I think any will come from the main 3

Mappa is doing
great in aot, AOT is hard to animate than JJK and many different animes just because of titans and stuff and people are harassing CGI which was better than alot of different CGI if you watch carefully,
So if we think about 2d animation aot is having everything better compared to jjk and previous seasons of it. CGI is also good for dynamical action what they were trying to give and this also easy to animate with CGI

They're doing average with AOT, I'm not blaming them it's not their fault since AOT is complex and they have a bad schedule but saying they're doing better with AOT than JJK is just a lie

Ehhh I blame Mappa's production committee for accepting the schedule, but their animation team has been doing awesome for what they've been given.
Makes it worse that the people who get shit on are the hard-working animators rather than the production who actually accepted the schedule.

I'm pretty new to the manga and anime world but I did read the manga Jujutsu Kaisen and I can say it's pretty faithfull, even some scenes that are hard for me to interpret in manga have been done incredibly good by the animation team. So far the story in anime is in line with manga, but I would say that the adaptation is better than the manga and I hope it will continue to be better and better. So far the story in manga is not that original nor thought-through so the adaptation of fight scenes is a big plus for people who need something that will draw them in the story and that is animation.

general it takes 3/4 chapter per anime episode. Almost 8-10 chapter makes a volume. So, do you think an 24 ep anime needs 24 volume to have an adaptation?

that's suggoi insane!

It's pretty evident from the ratings that the anime is better. The manga was somewhere around 7 when it didn't had an adaptation now it's around 8 after the adaptation.

The anime ain't better bro, the manga is so much better!!! They changed some character designs and the art of the manga is so goooood! I am not saying its a bad adaptation, I am just saying its not as good as the manga! Also about the ratings of the anime they are probably so high because ppl be hyping this shit up like its the best of all time and good animation. Personally I like the manga more! But to answer the question, its a pretty loyal adaptation and a good one too

MAPPA did a really good job adapting the manga. It follows the manga through and through and it doesnt leave any important details out of the anime.

My only problem is the lack of narration in this show which is used a lot in the manga, especially in future chapters. Some parts won't work well in the show without making them look unnatural and awkward by removing narration and occasionally replacing them as character monologues, such as in Nanami vs Mahito battle.

Yeah, I'm worried about it, but I think they will be forced to include narrations in the future arcs especially in

It was said in an interview that the author Gege told them to not include narration so he probably knows better than us why.

no not arc. Eg the exchange event has 4-5 chapters in manga. And the next episode is gonna be part 2 of exchange event. So lets see how many of them are released

It's standard weekly shounen length (20+ chapters including covers and stuff).

Yeah, I know about it even before watching this ep. I'm just curious how they would handle the anime without the narration. Well, so far there's no any problem. Some manga readers are just making a fuss over it on Reddit and Twitter.

Yeah, it's not that big of a deal. You can just have a certain character narrate whatever is needed just like we already had until now.
