Add Chinese Genres (Xianxia, Wuxia, Xuanhuan, etc.)

It would be great if we could have more comprehensive genre catagories
there's Chinese genres like Xianxia, wuxia, xuanhuan
and it would be cool if we could have Isekai as a genre since in general it's hard to find this type of anime unless you know them by name.

It's not a matter of popularity it's a matter of organization, it will make some of things easier to find. The site seems to be using mostly generic standard media genre tags but anime is a lot more varied then that, someone else mentioned MAL doesn't have magical girl as a genre and that is a big genre in anime.

For organization sake we need more comprehensive genre categories, if the mods don't want to maintain them they can make maybe a user tag option and then just let the users decide what's relevant. That would depend on how much the community could be trusted I guess.

Yeah this. We have isekai tag now, but the number of new cultivation donghua easily dwarfs the number of new isekai. Perhaps to keep the number of tags small, xianxia and wuxia should be unified under a single tag (like cultivation).

Yeah there's gonna be haters hating donghua, but think about it. You don't have to be a fan of BL to support having a BL tag, nor an isekai fan to support having an isekai tag.
