The movie is going to make more in one weekend than the entire MHA movies box office.

Easily, I'm not drunk but given It's humongous popularity and manga sales in Japan, the movie might gross 10B Yen there

Damn so even if u live in japan it'll be hard af to watch it...Thats the reason im against making movies for such big tittles, its hard for everyone to watch and u get spoiled even easier. Also many people will only be able to watch it when the dvd/blueray realease is out that will probably be in 6 months or even more...

Well, the MHA movies aren't even canon they're only cheap cashgrabs. This is an actual sequel to the first season. It was obvious it would pull a bigger audience and not just diehard fanboys.

Impressing. It's great to hear that the tickets has been sold and there are hundreds of thousands of people waiting to buy a ticket for this movie.

I feel bad for people who did not book or buy their tickets on time and have to wait in the queue and what's more important most likely won't be able to see the movie right in the day of its premiere.

While many people (including me) were upset because this movie won't be shown in cinemas in their countries, it looks like living in Japan doesn't mean you will watch it right on 16th October either.

Damn, that’s impressive to say the least. Not surprised at all but holy fuck has this even ever happened to an anime movie? I don’t think so

Heavy doubt even with this news but it could surpass 10 bill yen. It will be the most viewed anime film of the year easily. The only competition in Doraemon, Heavens Feel 3 and MHA aren't gonna come close to this opening weekend

Around 1.9 billion yen, although it is still screening so it might cross 2 billion yen soon, it is the highest grossing movie in the trilogy

It took 11? days for it to cross the 1 bill yen mark which is good. Kimetsu no Yaiba is basically gonna do that in 1-2 days though

HF3 has done 1.9 billion in its full run (its still in some theaters but its mostly gone starting today in a lot). Which is extremely good for what it is. but yes Kimetsu is projected to do 10billion
