Hey there. I kind of want to see an anime or manga wherein the protagonist somehow undergoes a timeskip. This could be due to cryogenic freezing or the simple passage of time. Also, since the only anime I know with a deathloop function is Re:Zero (and since I really like that anime), are there any other anime/manga with a deathloop power or really any interesting power that allow the protagonist to confront problems in a unique way. Thanks ~Chris.

I have already read All You Need Is Kill. I've been hesitant to get into Gundam due to the sheer size of the franchise. Can you just start from that anime, or does it require knowledge from the other shows in the franchise? Thanks, @Theo1899

@SynapticBlast
00 is a standalone thing. It borrows concepts from the old series but it can be watched on its own.

also have timeskips and can be watched on their own

You should check out Higurashi. It has somewhat of death loop function (don't want to spoil too much), but it's one of my favorite horror anime of all time.

As for time skip, the only one I can think of is Gurren Lagann

Thanks @TheSuniLife . I've actually started watching Gurren Lagann, about three episodes in and dropped it. Does it get better? I'll certainly check out Higurashi, I've heard chilling things about it.

@SynapticBlast
no problem mate
if you don't mind 70s animation you may also check out the original series and its sequel zeta. they also have a fairly long timeskip between them.

Yeah definitely Higurashi is soo good lol.
You should try to give Gurren Lagann a second chance at least up until episode 7. It gets better trust me. I think the time skip happens around episode 17?

Boku Dake ga Inai Machi ("ERASED") has a character who can project himself back in time.

The first episode of AKB0048 includes a time-skip that shows the main girls first at age ten then at age thirteen.
