| I just put my favorite show, Eureka Seven, at a 10, and my least favorite show, Aldnoah.Zero, at a 1. Then I ordered every show I'd seen based on how much I liked it, rounding to the most appropriate number based on other entries with that number. Every time I watch a new show, I think about if it's better than every single show with a certain number, and if it is, I bump it up one number and repeat until it isn't. Occasionally I re-score my entire list to keep my ratings accurate with my current feelings. Also, I don't rate shorts or music videos, because those are hard to judge with the same scale. |

| Here you go boys this the one everybody gotta use cause it’s mine Anime rating system 1. What the actual F 2. Maybe you could enjoy if you were high af 3. A few redeeming factors, that you really have to look for amongst this trash heap 4. Pretty sure most people are going to have to force themselves, if not suffer through, to finish one of these 5. Overall indifferent. Can see why some people like, and why some people don’t. For me this would be OK, but forgettable. 6. Decent anime that receive a passing grade, the positives almost clearly outweigh the negatives. 7. I’d recommend to a friend. I enjoyed, may even rewatch again after awhile. Flaws will still be apparent, but they are mostly outshined by the good stuff. 8. Confident that 90% of people will agree that this is some good fine dining. 9. This is the masterpiece zone, here I actually laughed, was moved, or was given some mild post anime depression syndrome 10. One must embark on a quest to find these ultra rare gems. Consistent, solid, penetrating your soul with characters and story that will be etched in your mind for generations. And above all must have one banger of an ending. |

| Each number represents a set of anime that is better than the ones below it and worse than the ones above it. I deliberately fix my distribution to centre on the midpoint of 5.5. If I wanted to map those buckets to linguistic definitions, its more or less offset by 1 - MAL has too many shades of bad and not enough shades of good. 10 God Tier 9 Masterpiece 8 Great 7 Excellent 6 Good 5 Fine 4 Average 3 Poor 2 Bad 1 Abysmally bad, to the point where one must wonder if it was intentional. |

| i score based on my personal enjoyment 90% of the time. it's only sometimes that i include some other factors, if that makes sense |
| The scale of one to ten, same as you. Maybe I'd be somewhat harsher on the 3, 2 and 1 scores. But that's just me. Since it takes sheer will and a lot of effort, to not just drop a 1 or 2 out of 10. |

| I use it as it was intended: 1 - torturing oneself, with content you despise. 2 - wasted time off my precious life, I will never get back. 3 - boring, annoying and disappointing 4 - wasted potential 5 - could have been better, TRY HARDER next time 6 - decent, mid and average and I hate giving out this rating. 7 - a good show, one I could appreciate, even if I didn't necessarily like what it was about. 8 - a great anime, the shows I'm looking forward to when I start the new season, every year. 9 - anime of the year, best thing I came across and made all other anime I watched WORTH IT. 10 - once in a decade, rare and priceless. It exists, but so do miracles. Doesn't mean you'll find it, unless you put in herculean amounts of effort, for years on end. |
