Feitan vs Meruem

sure i'll engage in some power scaling for the hell of it, would he be affected by it if it hit? sure seems reasonable, would feitan's head be at meruem's feet though before he could pull any insane super move? most definitely, do not underestimate the king of the ants my friend.

If it hits? If they fight where Netero and Meruem fought (in that tomb) and Feitan uses Rising Sun, there is no escape for Meruem. It is a sure kill even if Meruem kills Feitan in the process.
Though it is pointless to debate about it, it is kinda fun when you consider all the possible match-ups in HunterxHunter.
For example I would have loved to see Phantom troupe vs Royal guards and Meruem

I think the key here is if Feitan can perform the technique in time. I don't really remember well if Rising Sun has a lot of prepping time. If it does then Meruem can definitely intercept and kill Feitan on spot. But if we're talking about if Rising Sun can kill Meruem, then I think it does.

Well we know that Feitan is more deadly when he is hurt, given what he said to Zazan. He is not that weak to be killed by Meruem immediately either. Also this is Meruem we're talking about. He was so easy-going when did not even try to dodge Netero's attacks at first. Basically I don't think he would have been scared by Feitan and probably would have underestimated him.
But yeah my point was whether Rising Sun as an ability would have been able to kill Meruem. so thanks for your opinion. xD

You think Feitan is that weak? I said this before but Meruem generally underestimated humans. He most probably would have cut his hands rather than kill him immediately, and then Feitan would have been able to activate Pain Packer.

Yes this is pure speculation and it's just for fun.
Feitan is not even close to Netero. I don't need to tell you this but in shounen anime, how good is the match-up, is everything. I think Feitan's abilities would have been a bad match-up for Meruem when fighting in the tomb since there is no escape.
Bro I know Feitan is not the strongest out there. But all I wanted to know is your opinion on whether Meruem would have died by Rising Sun if hit by it.

You are forgetting that the only reason Meruem was straight going for the kill was because Netero had something he wanted, his name. Everyone else he killed it was straight one shot. He doesn't like to play around. So unless there was something that interested him which wouldn't be anything now it would be done in less then a second.

Like I've said before, it is pointless to debate how the fight would have developed because it will never happen. What I wanted to know is whether you think Feitan's Rising Sun could have killed Meruem like it did to Zazan?

Feitan is strong but nowhere near even Netero, he would lose before he had the chance to use Rising Sun and that is pretty easy to see when understanding the HxH world.

I mean obviously, if Feitan could live long enough to activate rising sun and was able to take enough damage that answer is yes. Since that is basically what the ability entails. His ability is kind of like Knuckles in that way, it really only works extremely well on opponents weaker than himself. So basically the answer if he could survive and get it off yes it could kill Meruem, but since we know he is literally just not as strong overall without putting it into that vacuum it is safe to assume he would lose in an overall fight.

I would like to Point out Netero's ability only seems less deadly because of how overpowered the King really is. Since Feitan would most likely die to Netero's ability before he could get Rising Sun off.

TLDR Rising Sun is op but only when Feitan is stronger. It is actually a pretty terrible ability in hindsight since if he is already stronger he doesn't need it. (since it best works when his opponent is too weak to actually kill him)
