| Actually, it's the opposite, anime characters can be "hot" with characteristics that wouldn't be attractive on a real person (e.g the usual big eyes, animal ears, etc). The appeal is that these characters can look however they want. Waifu is just you're favorite female character. That's about it. |

| Yes, I do truly believe people find some anime characters extremely attractive or "hot" as you said. I think this statement may be easy to prove because how often people masturbate to Hentai. Why would they get sexuality aroused if they didn't think it was hot in a way? Think about it, anime characters (including women and men) are drawn to be perfect in every way, especially if they're in a ecchi or harem anime- big breasts, big butts, and slim figure. It's impossible not to find them attractive. I find Todoroki from MHA extremely hot, he has a great design that I absulutely love, an attractive voice and a personality to match. The latter plays an important part as well, I would believe if an anime character is "hot" in their standards but a total bitch in attitude then they might see the character as trash.
