| The subtle nuances in Pingu's slow growth throughout the season is what edges out his character development compared most well developed characters. By the end of the second season he hardly resembles his past self, and by that, I assume it went unnoticed to the majority of watchers as well. It really capitalizes and showcases the human condition. |

| In all seriousness, the main trio of Oregairu are fairly complex. Mainly due to the fact that so much of what they're thinking and feeling is not blatant like in most romcom anime but conveyed only through very subtle body language so half the time you have no idea what the fuck is going on! |

| They are not my personal favorite but Makishima from Psycho-Pass and Kiritsugu from Fate/Zero is easily one of the most complex characters. |
