Does Japanese actually think that getting a little wet is going to make you catch a cold or something?

I heard that the military does it to prevent it from shining. Also to protect the glass, and to be able to see it while aiming. I don't know if it's true though.
This makes sense as well, but I don't know if @Milennin referred to military characters in particular or figures in general. I only had the general application in mind

Yeah but not exactly because of getting wet. The drop of body temperature causing a weaker body or whatever is a common thought. So getting wet and not drying seems to the concern for mothers. It's just a thing moms say.

Lol. I could make an anime about my Mother harping on about not swimming for an hour after eating every single time we was at the lake or ocean. She is also catastrophically frightened of sharks. Ironically I got messed up by a jellyfish... ;_;
Which I don't know, may contribute to my all pervasive hatred of tentacles.

I can't speak for everyone, but I think we need a lot of help. We need more young workers. Or did you mean about the people already living in Japan and what people thinks about them?

The majority doesn't really care yet. There are people from other countries moving in and that's all. But there are people who thinks that the crime rate is gonna rise and are worried about it.

On average, how prepared are Japanese families on natural disasters?
For example, stock up food and drinks, torchlight, batteries

Do government give out leaflet/pamphlet to guide citizens about natural disasters?

I'd say on average, families would have water, food, light, batteries, gas stove, and gas cylinders. Maybe not the gas stuff.

Like maps? Then yes. I got a map showing where to go.

I only know a few. English teachers, some other teachers, and the smart students in my class. But that's just me in the countryside. I hope there are more in the cities.

Sadly no. K-on is a thing though. High school girl bands would sing in the gym. My school don't have maid cafes but other schools do apparently.

Everyone knows there blood type, and it appears in conversations time to time. It feels like it's in the "what's your favorite food?" category.

Why Brazil tho?

How long does it take to make a bento?
Is it really that usual for parents to make their kids a bento for lunch?
Do they often look so beautifully arranged like in anime or more like a western lunch box, just with some stuff in it?

Brazil has a big population descending from the japanese. It is the biggest.
"Brazil is home to the largest Japanese population outside Japan.[8] According to the IBGE, as of 2009 there were approximately 1.6 million people of Japanese descent in Brazil and estimated at just under 1.5 million as of 2014."

There's a company with a lot of Brazilian people.

My mom said about 30 minutes.

Yes. Most of the students will bring a bento. Some students makes it them self, some buys bread.

Don't know what western lunch box is like, but it's pretty much like in anime, but more realistic.

Thanks for both answers.
Well most western lunch boxes are basically just a plastic box with a bread with ham, cheese or spread on it, maybe some vegetables and a fruit or sweet, crammed into it.
I think it's pretty cute to arrange it like the japanese bentos.

European countries are more beautiful in my opinion. It seems more organized and sticks with their culture. There are too many western looking buildings in Japan now, there's no theme and it's a mess.

Because there is so much incestuous relationship in anime, this is normal in Japan, there is no law that prohibits it there.

I enjoy the love put into it and really appreciate it now, but sometimes puberty gets in the way to appreciate it. The girls are having fun, but some guys would hide it from others lol. I had a time I asked my mom to make it less cute and more sloppy and I regret it.

What do you think of foreign exchange students? Are the Japanese people accepting of the fact that they are not from Japan, do they treat them the same as any other native Japanese person? How often do you see a foreigner in high schools? Are they able to fit in with your culture? Now about the real question, are the high school girls from anime and real life Japanese high school girl similar in terms of personalities like Tsundere, Kuudere, Deredere?

Are there any channels or programs in Japanese television that regularly hold debates about issues pertaining to Japan? Also is the perception that in general Japanese people aren't very argumentative accurate?

My school has some exchange students, and I'd say we are getting along. You'll be treated the same way as a transfer student, so people might be shy and not talk to you at first, but it'll be better by time. There's always those who aren't shy and wants to be a friend. Foreign students are pretty rare, I think. But that might only be my prefecture. Pretty sure Tokyo has a lot of foreign students.

Yes. Those tropes are real. But the attitude will be more realistic and less annoying. Also, since those are tropes that activates when the girl is in love, you'll have to make them fall for you first. Or you can sneak peek a couple. Tsunderes are easy to find.

News programs are talking about the problems in Japan everyday. And yes that is accurate. Especially the adults.

Yes it is. Any language is. Japanese language changes so fast, even a native person can lose track and not understand some words. Every year, new words become a trend and changes the language.

Are your vending machines really as awesome as they appear?

Even though this was asked over a month ago (Edit: Oops, wrong year, sorry), I feel like replying this. Depends on what you mean by "awesome", but I've seen a couple of vending machine that I've not seen elsewhere (though this could also be because the "elsewhere" I've been do not have vending machines as commonly as in Japan and not as attractive price wise so I do not pay much attention).

1. I've seen a some vending machines that is one big touch screen (the drinks are shown on a display, and you select it by pressing on it).

2. Some Coca Cola branded vending machines has an app and you can make your selection and pay using your phone (you still need to be next to the machine so for me the main incentive is not having to use cash and collect stamps for free drinks).

I don't know if it's awesome but, some of the drinks in them are really interesting too. Like hot pudding.
