Please share the name of anime and reason why it is a good watch even while its rating is not above 7.

As example:
Shoujo Sect is hentai but is as good as real anime so its super rare and good
Chu-Bra!! is an unique and easy comedy surely worth watching

I have a couple that are less than 7 but can't give you a reason as to why YOU should watch them since my reasons are just biased af but some low 7's you should probably check out would be, Re: Cutey Honey, and Iria: Zeiram the Animation. both have pretty decent stories (imo) I really like the art style of Re: Cutey Honey, and both have pretty cool adorable/badass female protagonists.

Many CGDCT anime like Wakaba*Girl, Hinako Note, etc... are equally funny/amusing/good as things like K-On!, Yuru Yuri and Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka!, but have a rating below 7.
Also Koi to Uso anime wasn't as good as the manga, but imo the anime was still pretty good.
Citrus is good too imo.

Well, i like CGDCT and drama so i guess it's just my shitty taste after all, huh?

Well. Apparently my highest rated anime (7) that is rated as lower than 7 on MAL overall is Tesagure! Bukatsumono. So that.

Much needed plug of its amazingly meta OP with subtitles. (YT)

Wakaba*Girl is orders of magnitude better than GochiUsa, as it has actual comedy

(similar, though not identical, thread: https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1725263&show=0 )

Here are things I've watched that (by my records) have <7 scores but I ended up liking them anyway.

  • Absolute Duo – This ecchi show has something even for people like me who aren’t into ecchi. Amusing characters, a setting with an amusingly devil-may-care attitude, a excellent soundtrack, really nice theme songs. If you like a harem, there are harem elements, but if you’d prefer the main character just pair up stably, then this show does it too. (I watched this dubbed.)
  • Atelier Escha & Logy - the only anime series based on the Atelier videogame series. This is a one-cour compression of a pretty long game from what I understand (I haven't played it), the second game in the Dusk trilogy specifically, but while I would have wished for the series to be longer, it still certainly works in the limited time it has. The plot has a reasonable sense of overall structure, the music is delightful (especially the ED), the characters make sense, and the storytelling (literally in-universe sometimes) is heartwarming. (I watched this subbed; there is no dub.)
  • Coppelion - a series about rescuing survivors after a nuclear disaster rendered Tokyo uninhabitable. The washed-out colors, the comic-book-style character outlines, and the detailed scene art really contribute to an excellent sense of atmosphere in this series. (No dub exists, as far as I know.)
  • Element Hunters - a three-cour kids' show with a sci-fi adventure premise. Surprisingly good music (theme songs and soundtrack) and characterization/character development. I felt the ending was a little underwhelming, but otherwise pretty enjoyable. (No dub exists.)
  • Elsword - This MMORPG-based Korean anime is sort of a mediocre series -- it’s a series of half-length episodes that starts “in medias res” in the fantasy story of the game, and the characters are not particularly well fleshed out in that short time. But it’s easy enough to follow so if all you want is a quick swords-and-sorcery anime (or, apparently, a variety of attempts at an abridged series), this is a decent choice. (Korean only.)
  • Final Fantasy: the Spirits Within - I don't consider this to be anime, but it IS in the MAL database, and I DO like it a lot. It just feels right to me -- like, it gets the feels right. For those who don't know, this movie is a sci-fi CG movie that isn't attached to any Final Fantasy game, but its writer and director are Final Fantasy series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, and it shares some elements in the world building and arguably the storytelling style with the FF games.
  • Frame Arms Girl - Misadventures of cute robot girls, basically. Obvious advertisement for model-building fans, but it's still a fun romp and enjoyable even if you're not a fan. Some people didn't like the heavy use of CG for the F.A. Girls, but I actually liked it (I prefer the first version of the OP actually). (Speaking of OP, I love that song's combination of a bright positivity with metal elements.) (No dub exists, I think.)
  • Glory Days - just a music video, for a pretty nice song that's used in a recent Eureka Seven production.
  • Karen Senki - a series of short episodes, from what I think might be a Taiwan/Hong Kong/Japan collab group? Entirely CG if I recall correctly, it's a story set in a dystopian sci-fi future involving a society controlled by robots. I thought it worked pretty well and I enjoyed the ride. (I watched this subbed; no dub exists.)
  • KochinPa! - apparently a pachinko advertisement, and probably the shortest multi-episode thing on MAL, at 12 episodes x 15 seconds. These little shorts will amuse you for the few minutes it takes to watch them. (No dub exists.)
  • Luger Code 1951 - A reasonably compelling one-episode introduction to a fictional setting that sadly isn’t yet present in full series form. (No dub exists.)
  • Phantasy Star Online 2 the Animation - This is a bit weird, because you kinda have to play the game or otherwise be a fan of the PSO franchise to really appreciate this fully, as it draws on series lore and derives its humor and setting from said game. Otherwise, this can easily feel like half a series about being introduced to the MMORPGs and half a series where the story goes a little nuts. But if you can get over that and are willing to “run with it”, the story can be an entertainingly wild ride. (No dub exists.)
  • Rayearth - As others have pointed out, this is part of the Magic Knight Rayearth franchise by the mangaka group CLAMP. This is a non-canon OVA set in an alternate universe relative to main MKR, though -- here, people from Cephiro come to Earth, instead of the other way around.
  • Rinne no Lagrange - Take a sleepy beach town with a carefree and can-do high school girl, then add mechs, sci-fi, space politics, and war, and bring them into said girl's life. Really interesting series, impressive visuals and interesting visual motifs, excellent soundtrack, and an intriguing character study of the three main characters (aside from the inevitable fanservice of course). (A dub exists but I watched this subbed.)
  • Rocket Girls - Reportedly the only anime series where you’ll find a joke about reverse Polish notation, since this story about high school girls going to space actually had input from JAXA (the Japanese equivalent of NASA), and a real-life astronaut herself even cameos here. Yukari fills the role of “only sane woman” in this comedy (and occasional drama) with famously hard sci-fi elements. (Again, no dub exists.)
  • Stratos 4 - a good sci-fi series with clear sense of character progression from start to finish and an excellent soundtrack by Masamichi Amano complemented by heartwarming theme songs by (my favorite group of all time) Melocure. The main caveat here is that you need to see this as a two-cour series, not the one-cour series it appears to be -- the story is incomplete if you only watch the first season, and continues in Stratos 4 Advance (6 episodes) plus the final two episodes MAL labels as "Stratos 4 Advance Kanketsu-hen" (episodes 7 and 8 of the second season). There's also a two-episode OVA that takes place sometime in the first season, I think, plus a five-minute non-canon comedy short, but those are less crucial to the plot. (There exists a dub of this, but I watched it subbed, and I'm not sure the second season is dubbed.)
  • Umi Monogatari - A story about interpersonal relationships, told with some magical girl elements. Slow and contemplative in mood, and character-focused, so it may not be for people looking for action, but it leaves viewers with interesting points to ponder about the nature of sadness and disappointment. Ken Muramatsu’s jazz soundtrack, with a limited ensemble, fits the story and establishes the mood quite well. (No dub exists.)
  • Under the Dog - a one-episode project resulting from a rather well-known kickstarter. They intended this to be a longer thing, and the one-episode pilot seems meant to preview a more complex setting than can be covered in half an hour. I still think it's pretty nice, though, as it gets the atmosphere quite right, and the animation is interesting to watch and the music works well. (I watched this subbed; no dub exists.)
  • Uta~Kata - a magical girl series with darker elements, but with a much stronger focus on characters and their emotions, and (in my opinion) better pacing and much stronger character development than Madoka Magica. (I watched this subbed; no dub exists.)
  • Yosuga no Sora - as others have mentioned, this is a bit of a niche series, albeit one that's relatively straightforward: It's an adaptation of a multi-route VN, complete with sex scenes. However, the sex scenes aren't really the focus of the story (or more accurately, of any of the four story paths); rather, the focus is on the characters and their interpersonal relationships, and how their romances evolve. The nature of the last story path is controversial, so anime watchers (and even in-universe characters!) have a mixed reaction to it. The series overall has a melancholy, contemplative mood that really well suits the depth of emotions it depicts (aside from the comedic omakes at the end of each episode, which reference a fifth route). (No dub exists.)
  • Zettai Bouei Leviathan / Leviathan the Last Defense - a comedic fantasy adventure involving three dragon girls. Lightweight and somewhat silly, but fun, and the music is certainly entertainingly grand. OP also shares the same first four notes with the RWBY OP1, amusingly. (There exists a dub but I watched it subbed.)

Dagashi Kashi: It's about eating snacks. I find it very fun and nostalgic, but a lot of people here think it's boring though.

Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san: It's about eating ramen. I find it fun and funny too, but a lot of people here think it is boring too.

Nourin: "(shimo)neta-heavy" anime, and people are going to miss 80% of the jokes because of a lot of different reasons... I actually think the story is quite touching and inspirational as indecent as the show can get.

Tesagure! Bukatsumono: Anime baiscally about seiyuu chatting, half of the episodes are impromptu. Visuals are Tatsuki (Kemono Friends) style. May need to listen the radio drama with the show to catch all the running gags between the characters. I've seen some clips with English subtitle but they are pretty bad...

Eromanga Sensei: Among all the new harem comedy in the last 5 years, it probably has the highest production value. Voice acting is great. Character designs are unique and lovable. Story is pretty standard with Oreimo's style of humour. Overall a very good incest anime when we are not comparing it with Oreimo.
(To be honest how an anime with such quality get lower than 7 in average here in the West is mind-blowing to me.)

Mayoi Neko Overrun: It's basically 12 anime in 1 anime. It has a different episode director, animation director and key animation every episode. But its very nature is still a school harem romcom, and it'll have all the thing you would expect from such an anime. So if you are one of those that would get bother by those "cliches", this anime would be terrible. But if you're a sucker for those just like me, you'll find this a pretty refreshing experience. In a lot of time we have to accept the major premise to enjoy the minor staff. The real fun start at episode 4 when they finished telling story and start SoL (because the story is not interesting). Voice acting cast is stacked.

Edit: Wow, Citrus has a score < 7, I didn't realize that. This anime is not bad at all, I have no idea how it gets such a low score.

You are welcome haha it's the greatest ad i have ever seen sadly we don't have something like that on tv.

I love that there are 19 people who have dropped it

Well, seeing how people rate anime that still haven't been aired, also complete it and drop it, it's no big surprise. :D

Death March dropped below 7 and I think the main reason for that is primarily through being an isekai harem in a videogame world and the fatigue a lot of people have with that concept. The anime itself is pretty cozy and uplifting and I had a great time with it. Nothing that's remarkable either within its genre or without in many ways, but all the same still probably one of the most genuinely pleasant series of this type that I've watched so far. I'd give it a yes if you don't mind harems, a lot of loli-stuff in particular, or videogame isekai with powerful protags. Definitely ended up being surprising to me in its own groundedness and chillness about itself. If you want something ambitious and original then this isn't going to be it, though - but if you're like me and don't tend to exactly care all of that much about those two things, it was actually a rather pleasant surprise in just what a kind of happy and relaxed series it was while still actually doing things with its setting and possessing a narrative and those sorts of things.

I kinda agree with your review of Death March. also I enjoyed the MC quite a bit more than your other usual Isekai MCs. Idk whats Death March's score but I'd def say its a good watch, even if not groundbreaking. idk about the novel yet but I heard its better so hopefully Ill read that soon

Killing Bites - may not be a masterpiece, but soundtrack was outstanding
Eromanga Sensei - fight me!

Id def agree with these. specially Last Period. its so weirdly fun for something based on a cellphone game

WAISUMAN!

also, Killing Bites is entertaining even if it pisses me off a lot and its kinda worth it to watch it all just for that last episode...

It is very difficult to describe comedy, but I'll try:
1. Manzai with the MC playing the tsukkomi, commenting on the girls' unreasonable acts.
2. MC getting abused.
3. Using "jealousy/ rivalry" scenario between harem members to create funny moments and reactions

These are the things that you may find in harem anime, especially heavily used in Oreimo. They were also inherited to Eromanga Sensei. It's just the characters are all changed and so the chemistry is all different.

What Eromanga Sensei lost compared to Oreimo is mostly in it's super compromised story setting, like taking all the "obstacles" away from Oreimo, making its whole existence a "fan service" for "siscon" anime fans, but the way the writer tells jokes doesn't change a lot.

3 harems:
Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai.
Dragon Crisis!
Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi

while in my opinion all harem should be rated under 7, these 3 are no better or worse than the ones higher rated. if u like harems you will like these. especially dakara boku, has a high school dxd kind of feel and is equally devoid of any story or character development plus red her main heroine.
Do you even Anime? Prove it!

Concrete Revolutio - nearly 1/4 people who watched it dropped it, which disgusts me. This is one of my all time favorites. Its a superhero anime, but "superhero" is NOT its main gimmick. Its more about the commentary it provides on its fictional society; concerning discrimination, human rights, freedom, and the overall vagueness of "justice" as a concept. Too many people freak out and quit watching due to the show's non-linear storytelling; but I think its fucking brilliant.
