At the exact moment Lalyrin looked back, she'd see Hiroyuki running up a tree, making a good four steps upwards before he'd bounce off with a jumping motion in order to grab a relatively high branch, doing a pull up to lift himself onto it once he had a good hold. "Since the forest is so thick, moving around high ground usual gives you the advantage." He'd say just before noticing that he already had the girls attention. "Oh, can you follow me up? Or should I walk a few steps ahead?" @KyubiTheSnowFox |

Hiroyuki was a bit surprised at first, but impressed as well non the less. The fact she shows competence from the very beginning was something he looked forward to, as his last partner wasn't quite useful during combat. With a quick smirk, he'd follow along. The one thing Raijin Monks boast the most is their speed, so even though Lalyrin got a headstart, he was able to effortlessly catch up to her, scaling the trees with monkey's agility until he was running and jumping from branch to branch right next to the girl. Even though Lalyrin kept moving faster and faster, Hiroyuki was still keeping up, barely breaking a sweat. Though the faster they kept moving, at some point, every now and then, his entire body would start releasing small sparks, he is a user of thunder after all, so its only natural...right?. As they left the woodland's outskirts and started moving deeper into the forest, his eyes would once again take on the same form they had back at the classroom. Apart from it, he had a lightly excited smile, through which small fangs showed themselves, and as she was probably able to feel his aura, it didn't quite give off a human vibe. It was sharp like lightning, and it even gave off a small level of mythical dread, the kind you would get when facing a beast of tales bards sing of. Hiroyuki merely continued to follow, but it was strangely calm at the time. Perhaps they were being a little too sneaky? The very moment their enemy showed itself, Hiroyuki's serpentine eyes flashed with excitement, his aura steadily morphing itself as he could smell a lively battle ahead, to the point where some may even mistake it for a demon's one. Seeing that Lalyrin went ahead on her own, he followed behind her quickly, saying: "Watch out for the Ajatars fireballs, they have a vicious grip so don't get caught!" And soon after, without much thought he'd continue hopping from tree to tree, sliding down a vine and landing about six meters away from the Dryad to its left. As he fought the creature before, he knew exactly what to be wary of, so even as he began to relentlessly run at it, his eyes kept observing the vines lingering about, as well as the ground, getting ready for a counter attack should it launch one. "Battle? If only a hunt could be justified so honourably," the dryad rasped. This woman was agile, remarkably demonstrated by her back flip. The dryad threw two tentacles towards the woman, their lack of precision making it clear their use was to zone than do any damage. Hoping that kept the girl busy, the dryad lept from the branch, grabbing a vine and propelling her onto another branch some distance away. Elsewhere, another dryad hoped this boy was distracted enough by the other drugs to land a sneak attack. She would wait until he leapt past her form hidden beneath the tree bark before attempting to lasso him in the leg mid-jump. If successful, she would ten attempt to coil her leg around the rope and pull it back, hopefully sending him reeling back towards a jagged tree branch beneath her. Adrenaline pumped through Lalyrin, keeping her senses sharp, enough to slice the first vine coming at her with the intention of catching her, straight through the middle. However, her senses weren't sharp enough; she looked at the dryad rather than focusing on what was in front of her, getting caught by the second vine wrapping itself around her ankle. "Oops..." Lalyrin muttered, before being propelled twelve feet into the air by the vine, hanging upside down. She sighed, irritated at herself for getting caught - she was too up in the air to pull herself up and cut it herself. She was kinda hanging there, wondering what to do. A devilish feel crept along Lalyrin's skin, and she turned her head around to see Hiroyuki looking out fiercely for battle. There was something off, but she couldn't tell him for she might distract him. |

Just as he was about to reach the Dryad which attacked Lalyrin, Hiroyuki's sharp senses got a hold of what seems to be a second one aiming for him. Since the attack was unexpected, the most he could do was move his leg in a way where the vine would catch him by the knee, rather than his ankle. As the creature swung him, while still sitting mid-air, he'd grab a hold of the vine with both of his hands, holding a firm grip over it. The moment his back smashed against the tree, rather than a shout of pain, he was smiling. "I don't...like, surprises!" He'd shout in a rather excited tone, as he pulled the vine towards him with force, in an attempt to pull his opponent out in the open. Hiro's movements took the dryad by surprise, causing her to forfeit her footing and sending the pair spiralling downward, tethered to each other by the long vine. A branch snagged the rope, sending the two flying into each other before it snapped and dropped them both on a wide yet thin branch. She quickly got back to her feat but her balance seemed thrown from their collision, mainly because the boy happened to smack into her head when they met. The other dryad, now noting her opponent's compromised position, send a vine whip hurtling, hoping to send her spinning round and round on the vine that had snared her. @kyubiTheSnowFox @Neon0410 Log Dryad 8/10 Dryad 10/10 |

In the next movement, she quickly caught the vine with her right hand, pulling it to use its roots to her advantage; wrapping it around her wrist, and tugged on it tightly, making sure it was safe for her next move. With her left hand, she threw her dagger to slice the vine that held onto her ankle. As it tore, it left Lalyrin to free-fall, and the dagger flew until it lodged itself into the tree she was just on. Flipping around to see what she was swinging towards, Lalyrin noticed that she was about to collide with a very thick tree. Pulling the vine again, she managed to bring her feet forward to take the impact of the fall, damaging her in the process. Lalyrin winced a bit. It hurt alright. Lalyrin didn't see what happened to Hiroyuki since she had more pressing matters; she was unarmed. Biting her lip, she looked for a new solution, scouting the positions of nearby trees to her dagger, which was about 30m away from her. Using the vine as a rope, she climbed to the nearest branch, safely getting there, but her legs still shaky from the sudden impact she just took. |

After they smashed against eachother, during the fall, Hiroyuki was in a very bad position, his back was aimed at the ground, and should he hit a firm branch on the way down, that would've been some serious damage to his spine. But thankfully, the moment he heard the vine snapping, he regained his freedom of movement, slightly tilting his body in the air to fetch momentum, as his feet were able to grab footing of the tree, enough for a crouching position, allowing him to simply bounce off. The sound of his battle cry resonated through the forest as he was now going in for an airborne attack straight at the Dryad which managed to get back on its feet, his fist charged with electricity, while his eyes were sending sparks left and right, his war-ready borderline psychotic smile of enjoyment perhaps able to even frighten a creature of the forest such as herself. The dryad saw the girl glance towards her metal tool, making interception her priority. The woodland creature lept towards her, branch by branch, reaching the girl just as she finished climbing the rope. A hand would attempt to grip her injured leg from below and pull downward, attempting to drag the girl off the tree and down to the hard ground some distance beneath them. Meanwhile, the other dryad had recovered from her stupor to the sight of Hiro flashing sparks of electricity from his body. Not one to be find of electric shocks, the dryad jumped backwards and swiped two thick tentacles that sprouted from her wrist at the tree. She glance around for a nearby tree branch, a key component in her plan, once that was quickly located, she took a step back and waited while the tentacles cut deep, the branch didn't give way. However, should he move on to her side of the cut it would likely give way, and send it and those upon it plummeting to the ground @KyubiTheSnowFox @Neon0410 (Sorry about the snail pace BUT I don't have any lectures tomorrow so I can stay up as long as it takes to get this finished C: ) |

Luckily, she kept a hold onto the vine, making both her and the dryad smack into the surface of the tree, the bark grazing both of them. It wasn't enough to incur damage to them, however, it did to the vine, causing it to rip slowly. As a quick countermeasure, she began to kick the dryad from her ankle, adrenaline causing her kicks to be hurtful than most. Just because he didn't hit his primary target, doesn't mean Hiroyuki missed. There was no need for him to even land on her side of their foothold, as he decisively redirected his attack at the branch bellow him, breaking it in one swift smash of his Flash Fist. Rather than scaling the trees, once they're on the ground Hiroyuki has an frightening advantage. As they were falling, he still kept a watchful eye over the Dryads tentacles, because she had an advantage in a situation where they're both airborne, even if its for a short while. The dryad reeled back from the kick, Lalyrin's foot smacking the creature across the jaw (10->9)She consequentially fell, but managed to grab on to the end of the vine. Once she had her grip she would send a vine directly upward, hoping to skewer the girl like a spitroast before she could reach her dagger. Things hasn't gone exactly as the other dryad expected, but it would suffice. Even though the Dryad was successful, she once again allowed Hiroyuki to grab her vine. But now, he thought it was about time to execute a proper counter attack, which means he was about to get serious. In order to minimize fall damage from such a great height, the Raijin monk would shout "Rii Vaaz!". As his voice sounded, a lightning strike would dart across through the clear sky, with the monk taking on the form of a Sky-Splitter. Even if its just for a few moments, his body becoming covered in titanium hard scales, his bones now being as sturdy as those of a real divine serpent, made the ground slam feel like landing on a pillow. He'd waste no time to once again pull on the Dryad's vine to drag her down with all of his strength, now taking good care to wrap it around his arm as he did so in order to gain control. By the time he started the pulling motion, his scales were already fading away rapidly, but the boy was back on his feet, grinning devilishly, once again charging his fist with electricity as he watched the Dryad fly towards him, ready to crack a few bones should the creature be unable to redirect herself from flying into him. Hiro's pull had exerted too much force to pull the dryad down, instead tearing the vine out of her wrist and sent a concoction of green sap and a yellowish blood streaming from the gaping wound. [8-->6]right vine secreter impaired] After twisting around on the vine for a few moments while dribbling blood, she eventually recovered and drew her knee into her chest before kicking outward. From her wooden heel a blindingly fast tentacle shit downward, too quick to grab without burning all the skin off one's hand from friction. With the height advantage, the dryad repeated this process of withdrawing and kicking, sending tentacle after tentacle down after him, hoping at least one would find their mark. No you don't, the dryad(9/10) waged in battle with Laly said, extending a whip from her free wrist which coiled tightly around the branch she stood on. Get over here!!! she shouted, pulling on the tentacle Laly held, with both hands gripped tightly across its length. Whether she would fall back or down, the dryad couldn't tell, depended on whether she could find a way to let go off the branch or not, the wood folk surmised. But one thing was clear, she wouldn't be making it to that branch. @KyubiTheSnowFox @Neon0410 |

This little game of cat and mouse was starting to get on his nerves. It was true that the vines were going too fast to be caught without consequence, but the Dryad seemed to not realize that Hiroyuki is not bound by those conventional thoughts. Without a moment of hesitation, he'd reach in to grab the very first vine she'd whip out at him, letting it slide through his soon bleeding palms until the quick drying blood would give him a better grip, not even making an unpleasant expression, as if it was natural for him to fight like a glass cannon. Once he had the creature's range of movement limited, with a short click of his fingers, his entire body would burst in a momentary stream of electricity. Awakening the Stormraiders Surge, Hiroyuki's very bones and muscle tissue became empowered by circulating thunderous chi. It would be hard for the Dryad to discern which is faster, the boy himself or her vine whips, as in the blink of an eye, the monk could be seen literally running up the tree from which the creature was hanging at almost in-human speed, closing distance at an alarming rate, heading straight for the Dryad with his charged fist still ready, preparing to hit her in the chest should she not manage to once again re-position. It seemed hand to hand was a thought on both their minds or, in the dryad's case, foot to face. She too a few steps to run out before shooting vines to either side of Laly, wrapping around a branch and a tree respectively. She jumped and pulled on the vines, propelling her body horizontally with her feet aimed at the girl's head. The other dryad had been thrown off balance when he pulled on her the tentacle protruding from her leg, sending her spinning around in circles on her other vine. By the time she recovered she only had time to see the flash of lightning, and the person accompanying it. Her eyes stretched wide, but that was the sum total of her reaction to the imminent force. |

As he already took care of the first Dryad, despite hearing the movement from the surface, he thought the best course of action would be to assist Lalyrin while he waits for his chi to replenish. Hiroyuki already beat a Leshy in a one on one all-out fistfight before this, and he knows its the only creature that can be accounted for as truly dangerous inside these woodlands, so he didn't want to cut Lalyrin's enjoyment by killing it all alone. Before the first Dryad's body could even properly hit the ground, Hiroyuki was already moving in from behind Lalyrin's opponent, branch to branch, making very little noise as he did so (well, as little as the environment allowed him to), and he was moving fast. Adrenaline was flowing full speed through the monk from the sight of his previous opponents blood spilling, and the sound of her very skull cracking under pressure of his final blow. It was ecstatic, he slowly began going into overdrive, a state of mind in which the usually dead-inside person that is Hiroyuki feels actually alive, like an actual breathing human being. His serpentine eyes were literally sparking with excitement, giving off a glow which only a fabled Dragon could re-created, that of pure dread, fearless battle-craze, but also greatness. Should the Dryad not notice him before its too late, he'd use the height advantage to drop-kick the creature straight in the spine while Lalyrin kept it busy. (I am so slow to post, sorry. ^~^ nothing much else I can do but apologise unfortunately) The dryad cringed in pain as the girl's knee struck her right in the private square. She didn't have to feel this pain long however, as the boy she had failed to detect connected his kick to her spine, shattering her vertebrae beneath the atlas and rendering her paralysed from the neck down. The dryad weighed her options. As there were few it didn't take long. "Leave us be. You monsters are hunting us to extinction," she said, then bit her tongue off and swallowed both her pride and her fleshy appendage, soon drowning in a gurgle of blood. Dryad: rip Reunited on that thick branch, the situation seemed to finally be resolved for the two. Then come a knocking; a sharp thud against the base of the tree, shaking its leaves loose and rattling the bark side to side. The next this brought the entire tree down, sending it cascading towards the ground. A pair of Ajatars, still coiled around each other denoted the agitator, and as soon as the tree fell it would blindly spew its twin torrents of flames towards the branches, hoping to incinerate those who impeded upon its mating grounds. @Neon0410 @kyubithesnowfox |

Trusting that Hiroyuki would be fine, she jumped to the branch she aimed for earlier, grabbing it with her bare hands and swinging around it to safely land on it. She looked back in time to see the tree fall down onto the two Ajatars, wondering where Hiroyuki just went. |

Rather than trying to jump away from the flames, Hiroyuki was charging head first into them from his original height at high falling speed, passing through the fire quick enough not to receive too many burns whose pain can't be drowned out by the adrenaline rush. In the same manner he knew how to defeat a Dryad, Hiroyuki had the chance to gut an Ajatar before, so he knew just the way to try and take care of them as fast as possible. Shouting out, he'd say: "Keep up, there's two of them you know!" The smoke left behind by the passing flames would create some cover for him as he closed the gap between himself and the two coiled up Ajatars with their jaws still spread open from spewing out the fireballs. Once he was close enough, with his feet touching the ground, he'd attempt to shove his arm down one of their throats grabbing on whatever hold he could get on its very insides, while quickly using his free hand to force the serpent to bite down on his own flesh with a smash against its head, hopefully cracking its skull, though leaving him vulnerable to the other one unless Lalyrin was quick on the follow-up. Ajatars were known for three things: their fire, their agility, and their vicious bites. Having just dealt with the former trait, Hiro was about to become very acquainted with the latter two. His decision to tank through the flame was risky, but it would have paid off as it positioned him directly in front of his target. Unfortunately, he then made the mistake of of trying to stick it's hand where it didn't belong. The ajatar utilised its increased agility to sink it's fangs deep into Hiro's arm before he could find anything to grab onto. And while the other fist against its head did cause it to bite down hard against its mouth, the ajatar's would not be the only blood flowing through its mouth, as to pierce itself meant skewering his arm. Reeling back from the pain, it released its grip on the boy's arm and drew backwards[Ajatar 1: 8->7] Feeling no pain of the other Ajatar, the other was quick to strike, bitting the boy's other arm before flailing its body backwards and using the forward momentum to hurl him back through the forest, where he would land just short of the tree Lalyrin was still perched amidst. Fortunately, the grass was thick around that area, and any force of impact he might have experienced was neutralized by the natural blanket. It made no attempt to pursue either of them, instead choosing to knock down a small tree behind them with their combined might. As it waited for them to counter, it coiled both its tails around the fallen trunk and batted it around against the other trees, ridding it of its leaves and leaving only jagged branches at the end of it. Reaching that dagger meant jumping a long distance to hold onto it, and hope that gravity does its thing to pull it out. Problem was, there wasn't any branches nearby to safely land to; there was a large bush, however. Taking the risk, Lalyrin followed through by jumping to grab onto her dagger, successfully taking it out with haste and falling immediately into the bush, which was, luckily, luscious enough to break Lalyrin's impact and safely return her to the ground. Wasting no time at all, Lalyrin jumped up from her backside and activated her powers once again to aim at the eye of one of the Ajatars and throw her dagger straight. |

During his low flight against the dirt, once he landed a large cloud of dust accumulated around his location, hiding him completely. On impact, even though his landing was soft, the boy still smashed his head against the tree, blood now flowing down his forehead. The Ajatar's jaw is sure vicious, but underestimating how sturdy the body of a monk is, is a big mistake on its own. As the serpent stopped Hiroyuki before he could shove his arm all the way in, the part which ended up taking most of the damage was the forearm, suffering multiple fractions together with the open wound from the sink'd in fangs which bled out to the point where half of his arm was covered in crimson. But either way it was still left usable if one can bare through the agonizing pain. From the moment of impact, there was no sound coming from Hiroyuki, but as the smoke began to clear, he would've been seen standing up straight, readying his fighting stance, while wearing a borderline psychotic smile on his face. "Amazing, absolutely delightful!" He shouted, something obviously being different about him. Apart from his Dragon-like eyes, the space around them was covered in feint scales, and his barely noticeable fangs grew out completely, which was just one of the many elements which made his battle-crazed gaze all the more terrifying. Down his neck, rows of dark sky blue scales emerged, together with his forearms, right shoulder, and as his shirt was completely ripped apart at this point, they could even be seen forming around his torso, specifically the chest and stomach. He'd spare no time as he saw Lalyrin go for one of the Ajatars from her high ground position, starting to run at the pair once again from the surface. The moment she threw the dagger, Hiroyuki would make it his goal to grab and shove it in deeper into the serpents skull upon impact. Should he be successful, his follow up would include doing a front flip together with the gained momentum of running up from such a distance, without letting go of the dagger for as long physically possible during the airborne 360, in order to turn it together with himself, while he'd try to kick the second Ajatar in the head with his heel. The dagger sailed through the air with deathly precision towards its targets eye. The second Ajatar could do nothing but glare as the blade closed in on its eye. Fortunately for it, the other Ajatar was more in tune with the situation, and quickly snapped up the blade in its teeth before it pierced the other ajatar's eye. Then came Hiroyuki, slamming the blade into the Ajatar's throat and breaking one of its fangs loose. [Ajatar 2 8->6; Internal Bleeding: The Ajatar's throat is wet with blood, preventing the use of fireballs] Hiroyuki's frontflip was campy as fuck, but effective, knocking the Ajatar's head upward, spewing blood, a tooth, and the knife into the air. [Ajatar 2: 8-> 5] The other Ajatar was ready however, hooking its head under the boy's back as he performed his front flip, and rocked uward, thrusting him into the air. Once there, the Snakes would spin around, sending the large trunk its tails coiled around towards the suspended Hiro, which would shatter upon impact and hopefully send him flying into the distance from the impact. @KyubiTheSnowFox @Neon0410 |

And as she watched Hiroyuki being attacked in the most vulnerable position, she knew she had to act quickly. Pumping her legs to reach where they are, Lalyrin had no choice but to fling herself into the air to grab the blade they so rudely tossed into the air. It was a random leap of fate, but if fate allows it, Lalyrin will be able to grab her dagger and plunge it into the skull of the Ajatar with the branch in hopes it will deter its attack on Hiroyuki. |

Sent flying by the Ajatar, Hiroyuki could feel his spine crackling from the impact force. But like a masochist, his primitive thirst for punching the shit out of something grew bigger the more damage he received. He was facing the sky, and looking behind himself he could see that the Ajatar was about to send a log flying at him, so in order to re-position while in the air, the only thing he could do was expend a charge of his Flash Burst, which would propel the boy from his feet as he kicked through thin air, now being able to face the tree which was coming at him rather fast. Having no time to waste, as he charged up his fist, as he spread his fanged up jaw open, the boy's battle cry would turn into an echoing beast-like roar accompanied by a flash of his serpentine eyes as he smashed through the log with the force of his Flash Fist. But now the real problem was the descent, he had nothing to grab onto on his way down, so he was relying on Lalyrin to land her attack in order to safely get close enough. Descending in a position where he was standing up straight with one leg extended and charged up with electricity, should Lalyrin manage to land her attack distracting the pair of serpents, Hiroyuki would discharge a powerful kick with the bottom of his foot into one of their bodies or skulls, depending on the creatures position as he's unable to re-direct himself in the air again without wasting chi. Obviously a lesser version of the roar. (You mentioned he got injured so i presume you meant to have that at 4 hp, right?) Hiroyuki's decision to smash the oncoming log would prove problematic, but at least not to him. As the log shattered, the myriad of splinters continued on its trajectory. While clear from hitting him, the jagged shards hurled straight towards Lalyrin. At best they would pierce her flesh and injure her, at worst they would at least deter her from landing her attack. Whether she caught the dagger or not, however, was up to her own perception... or luck. With Lalyrin being sorted out herself, the two snake heads were free to pluck the falling boy. One mouth, belonging to the first Ajatar, would attempt to bite down on his head, though as its mouth was already bloody, it would be easy for him to keep its mouth open just enough with his hands that he could avoid its teeth reaching his flesh. The second was more tenacious, and would attempt to bite down hard on his legs in tandem with the first bite. This would leave Hiroyuki at the snakes' mercy, but it would provide Lalyrin an oportunity in the form of the creatures' undivided attention to Hiroyuki, making a sneak attack to save her companion completely possible. @Neon0410 @KyubiTheSnowFox |

Level: 1 • Lifespan: 2 • Abilities: Aura Manipulation ※Eye of Discernment: C/d: 3 posts ※Tracking: N/A Weapon: Dagger • @Neon0410 / @Whoremoans The splinters from the shattering wood indeed pierced Lalyrin, but they were small, thus allowing Lalyrin to continue to complete her goal: Grabbing the dagger. Previously, she had thought of flipping to increase damage, but with the splinters lodged in her skin, it was now impossible. Wincing through the pain, Lalyrin aimed for the most dangerous Ajatar - the one aiming for Hiroyuki's skull. But Lalyrin's vision was getting blurry, and she couldn't use her ability at the moment, so she had only instinct and momentum to attack the snake-like monsters. If the Atajar proceeds to attack Hiryouki in its current position, Lalyrin will pierce through its skull with her dagger, push off it with one hand to flip and plummet into another bush below. |

Even though it was problematic for himself, the fact was the Ajatar allowed Hiroyuki to grab a hold of the inside of its mouth on its own volition was most likely one of the, if not the last mistake it'll ever make. Using his physical arms, he'd discharge both remaining charges of his Flash Fist through his palms with a strong push, which would basically electrocute the creature from the inside out given that he was in contact with its wet, slimy insides, while with his Storm Deities Blessing (the other two spirit arms in the picture), as the second Ajatar went for his leg, discharging his Flash Burst to move the limb out of the way and tilt himself slightly, the monk would try to grab it by the neck to give Lalyrin an easier shot.
