Hello guys. I am looking for a anime where the MC is being looked down upon by others, could be due to him looking weak, poverty, poor grades, etc. However, he has hidden power/talents and eventually revealed it and surprise or overwhelm others.

Please look through my animelist , and recommend those that i have not watch yet, thanks a lot.

Shokugeki no Souma. He's not looked down on too much but definitely a bit at the start. I think you'll like it based on your list.

Accel World, the MC is fat, short, and wimpy and because of that he's constantly looked down upon by school mates and the people who he plays in the anime. His talent is video games and beats the people who looked down upon him in the game.

One in which I can think of on the top of my head is a Chinese anime. So if you don't mind the language that much, I'd recommend giving "Quan Zhi Fa Shi" a try.

The story and animation is not the best out there, but it otherwise pretty much fits your criteria as the protagonist comes from a family that acts as a subordinate to a rich and well off family, in a world where powerful Magicians are considered to be the best. Search it up on YouTube and there's a channel which did subs on the entire season.

Thanks for recommending. Actually i have already watched Quan Zhi Fa Shi., I do like the plot despite the poor animation. I recently finished it and i want to find other anime similar to it with this kind of plot.

i don't know why you have it on dropped list but Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei is exactly what you're looking for. Also no game no life kinda fits, everyone think humans are weak and they surprise everyone. Also Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry fits well. you rate it but have 0 chapters try to update your MAL to get a serious recomendation please.

I tried to watch Mahouka Koukou no Retteousei but i think i don't really like sci-fic and found the plot quite boring. I dropped the anime after 6 or 7 episodes. Sorry about that, i finished Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry but have forgotten to update it. The rest of the anime in animelist is pretty much updated.

Oregairu is what you're looking for. Not that 8man has secret powers or something along those lines, but that he has much more awareness and grasp on the bigger scope of things than most people his age as well as stronger emotional resilience. No in fact that's not accurate, it's more that he has suppressed his emotional needs to better cope with things and so he can shoulder more. While being shamed by classmates, he's almost secretly the Batman of the school that holds shit together.

Thanks for recommending, I will give it a try. It seems to a pretty good anime. Just curious, do he eventually get well-liked by his classmates or surprised them with his strengths?

Just to add on, it does not really have to be action anime, can be any genre of anime. As long as the plot includes main protagonist being looked down upon and he reveals some sort of his talent which overwhelm others. Or the main protagonist become a person that others can look up to.

He's still misunderstood by most people his age, but he starts making meaningful connections with several people along the way and the fact that he gets caught up in the problems of all sorts of popular people does get him a fair degree of recognition with the "cool crowd".

As for surprising them, his cleverness and his purely logical pragmatism tend to get results out of pretty much anything and while going unnoticed at the start, it slowly grows into something a lot of students end up relying on (too much) to solve their shit. So you could say his worth ends up being recognized in a sense, although it tends to come with an emotional price for several people involved (which can turn into resentment against him).

Thanks for your explanation. The anime is well-written, thanks for introducing such a great anime.
