Hello everyone.

I am looking for manga of strategic boardgames. Especially I'm interested in Chess, Shougi and Go.

Already I'm aware of Hikaru no Go and Mononofu. Sadly, Mononofu is currently not continuously being translated despite of having finished its serialization. So I am looking for manga which are finished and translated completely or are still being published.

In the optimal case the story includes discussion about strategies or references about famous games that took place in real life. However, thats not mandatory.

Hi there, Brati.

How about you try reading this one, Hoshizora no Karasu?

In MAL, it has stated that this manga series has about 8 volumes and 54 chapters but
if you try reading it online then, it's still on Volume 1 Chapter 1-3.

So, how about that? Do you still want to read it even though the manga updates are not finished yet?

lol I'm so embarassed I posted the beginning and not the end, (was on my phone...)

Anyway, while Hikaru is the one big Go manga out there, we also have March comes like a lion

Off-topic, you have the oddball Mudazumo naki manga about mah-jong.

Actually March comes like a lion is about Shougi not Go but it's ok since op also wants shougi manga.

Senpai , you should try Chihayafuru. It's not Shougi,Go or Chess but it gave me the vibes of Hikaru no Go. I've only seen part of the manga sadly but I finished the anime series.

Allright, thank you for your recommenations.

I already planned on occupying myself with Chihayafuru and 3-gatsu at some time. But I will check out the other recommendations as well.

Sad to see that Chess seems not to be covered in manga or anime. I guess its just not influencial to the Japanese audience and more of a western game.

Actually, it is covered.
But no scanlation team seems to care about it, I just heard of it because some French editor actually publish it.

ANd not that expensive, actually, in case anyone here is studying French (I know it is far from a common language)
