There was no season 4 announcement sadly. There's still a chance for it to be announced with volume 22 or 23, but I don't think they'd announce it any time after that. Seasons are announced with LN volumes, in the past at least; so that's what this assumption is based off. EDIT: I don't wanna make it sound like it's not gonna happen. Here's all the facts: DxD was one of the few series that brought profit to Kadokawa in 2015 next to Overlord. This season sold a bit worse than the first two, but that was to be expected from a rushed original season. It's a miracle it even sold that well. But it sold more than enough to warrant a new season. From a business standpoint it makes no sense for TNK to not animate at least one or two more seasons, given that they're a very small studio that has barely done any projects, and DxD is their only one that has exploded in popularity. The author and the studio said back when season 3 was announced that they both wanted to continue producing more seasons. TNK, the studio, stated in a dragon magazine interview in the July 2015 issue that they would return to a faithful 2-volume adaptation of volumes 9 and 10 in a possible season 4 if it were greenlit. BorN had plenty of hints to the content of the next season, and if they weren't at least leaving the opportunity open. Any rumor you guys hear about a new season or whatever is completely false until you see it reported here or on Ishibumi's twitter. The possibility and likelihood is there, we just have to play the waiting game. The last thing I wanna mention is people thinking it will come out this year or early next. This is simply not gonna be the case. Both the previous seasons were announced roughly 9 months before it aired. So just keep that in mind. |

Where the hell did you read Ishibumi's Light Novel 21 afterword? I did't say I did? Anime seasons are announced on the covers of volumes, as they did with volumes 13 and 18. |

What's with all those that say that DxD Season 4 announced?! And then say nothing about season 4. I know they're full of shit, but still, do they know that their info is wrong (partially) or are they just bullshitting as much as they can? Pardon my profanity. |

Any suggestions? Ty - Sorry for being a pain |

Unfortunately this could lead to the light novels being licensed by Yen Press and would hurt the translation of said novels online. |

I have always wondered how much do they really give from our membership fee's? It clearly can't be that great amount to help fund more season's or there would be more out there. Also doesn't Japan discount the North American Market? I mean this recent news is great, hopefully we'll get more LN/Manga's onto store shelf's (I am 100% preying for the LN to get fully licensed so it can go next to my DXD Manga and have it's own shelf section) Also the Funimation's Dub is amazing before Season 3 but that was way beyond their control so they had no choice but the change it. |

We'll get them more quickly when Yen Press stops monopolizing everything even a little bit popular. When Yen Press has competition, then you can rejoice about Licensing. As it stands Yen Press is already ludicrously slow with their releases and it will only get worse and worse the more licenses they gobble up for a quick profit. I'm not against Licensing as a concept. I am against Yen Press expanding its bloated sloth of a body with more series. |

DxD's translator said it will continue even if it gets licensed. On top of this High School DxD is entering the final arc currently, and Ishibumi confirmed a sequel is coming. The sequel is just like Index to Index NT which means translation would be fine until the YP translation gets to the sequel. YP licensing can only help the series at this point. |

On top of this High School DxD is entering the final arc currently, and Ishibumi confirmed a sequel is coming. The sequel is just like Index to Index NT which means translation would be fine until the YP translation gets to the sequel. YP licensing can only help the series at this point. IF the translator can indeed continue his work then sure however you're naive if you think Yen Press will give him a choice. It's called going underground. Baka tsuki is gonna get rekt tho |

Baka tsuki is gonna get rekt tho It's going to be hard to go underground nowadays especially for DxD. Idiots exist after all, you go underground and some idiot will somehow expose it and it'll be taken down again. Before long, you'll see the translators give up and the end no more fans translation for that series. That's how fan translation completely disappear after getting licensed. And people who think that the book will be good https://frogkun.com/2015/05/03/stay-away-from-the-no-game-no-life-english-novel/ This is just from NGNL. Think about how bad it'll turn in DxD's case especially since Ishibumi's writing style is different from the usual writer. Ishibumi likes to combining two different words for subtitles which makes it hard to translate to English since some of it doesnt even make sense in English. Yen Press may slaughter the DxD translation entirely if handle badly. |
