To put it very simply, I'd like to watch something about someone getting strong. Could be through training or whatever, but it doesn't really matter as long as there's some kind of transition.

It'd be a bonus if it was funny or have a rather light theme.

Hajime no Ippo and Baby Steps are very much that if you don't mind sports anime. Training, self-improvement, and zero-to-hero.

Hajime no Ippo is quite a laugh too.

First of all,the mainstream ones-Naruto,Bleach.One piece,Fairy Tail(Actually in the last two MC's go from strong to OP to even more OP).

Inazuma Eleven
Inazuma Eleven Go
...and basically all battle shounen,really.

Just curious, are there any shows like that which aren't those kinds of "battle" anime?
