(this would have also made her so much more in my eyes, yaaass girl you show us that you don't need no man) Oh ofcourse I know we no nothing about Krul, but just because vampires are asexual* doesn't mean they can't fall in love (cue Mika, and just before you say 'Mika was a human though', so were all the other vampires) or have sex. (different types of asexuality) Krul just gave so much more impression, from the very get go you could tell she meant business. It was refreshing every time she came on screen. Also, Mitsu has a crush on Yuu (though it is subtle) but Kagami has yet to dwell on it, one of the reasons I actually like her, even though tsunderes aren't my type, the fact that Mitsu hasn't linked any of her actions towards Yuu (unless you count helping Mika escape with him - which was technically initiated by Shinoa/Yoichi) is such a nice thing to see, and Mitsu is pretty much a side characters atm, yet we know more about her than Shinoa, who is the female lead. This is why if it had to end with a heterosexual romance (I hope not, god please) I would want Mitsu and Yuu to end up together, their pasts about losing their family/comrades would help them connect due to the similar feelings, they could comfort each other, Yuu maybe even reassuring Mitsu that she wasn't to blame and that he wasn't going to let her friends/family/comrades die again. (I haven't some what shipped a hetero couple in a while, this is weird) You have to consider that OnS and Free! have different audiences and MC-Main leads focus. Free! targeted the female and fujoshi/fudanshi audience. OnS targets mostly males even though the ratio is 52:48, so both male and female readers enjoy it (marketing of course goes towards the female audience because it's been proved time and time again that females buy more than males regarding merch). Plus, it's a 'dark, fantasy story' under Shounen so it's vastly different from Free!. Gou also wasn't the female lead nor any of the mains. The story focused on the boys, their bonds and swimming. I think a good comparison for OnS would be AnE which is also under JUMP SQ and closer to OnS genres. I didn't mean that Shinoa protects the squad and takes the lead because she likes Yuu. I meant that because of Yuu mostly she has started to change. She herself is capable enough to become a responsible and serious leader, we have seen she is changing in the manga and become more serious. And no she protects the squad because for the first time in her life she feels she has a family. Yuu gave her one, the same as he is trying to do with Mika now. He also did the same for the rest. That's why in the new fanbook they all answer the person they are most interest to are Yuu while Yuu cares about all of them the same. I just believe that a woman with a crush on a man or a woman, doesn't mean she is downgraded of becoming cool or badass. Shinoa doesn't need Yuu's approval or agreement (the whole team talks about their plans and what they should do) and if anything she has told him many times to not rush in the battle as she should because he can put them in danger. Yes, I am aware of love=/=sex thing. I can't say something about different types of asexuality because myself I don't know the topic well enough to discuss it so I am going with whatever the info has provided it thus far which is that vampires take pleasure, immoral one and both parties feel good/heated up, from drinking blood directly. Now what the sexuality of a human before s/he turns into a vampire was, it could be anything but that sexuality is 'deleted' the moment they become vampires. In folklore there are stories of vampires becoming humans again and one of the first things they do is r*pe because sex was an 'need/instict' they couldn't feel as a vampire. Actually we know more about Shinoa besides some family things which theories are going around but I won't talk about them here. From Mitsu we only her past in a team which ended bad but we don't know much about her family and especially what's going on with her sister. I don't have a problem if we have a hetero end pairing or not. I don't want it to be rushed and poorly written. I don't ship YuuxMitsuba but I wouldn't mind it as well. All the pairings in OnS, besides Mikayuu, are friendly/platonic to me. (Mikayuu is both platonic and romantic to me). |

| I think Mikayuu is probably Better then Yuunoa the only reason people are denying the MikaXyuu ship is because there both boys or because there Yuunoa shippers (I get it though some people don't feel comfortable with BL) Btw there not really family so it's not incest I'd say that there relationship is like bestie related (They both will do anything for each other even destroy the world if it we're to bring yuu or mika back) Also, Yuu always seems to be interested in what mikas doing (*Manga*) and it's obvious that most of the fans watching the series ship mikayuu maybe the writers and producers etc. Will make it a thing. Quite obvious that Yuu has sumthin for mika and mika has sumthin for yuu can't deny the chemistry. What may interest some of you is that Mikas seraph is Michael (*Archangel*) and Yuus seraph is Lucifer (*Satan*) the fallen angel, Maybe the romance between them will sprout into something that perhaps benefits them both? And plus I love that LuciferxArchangel cliche. My bad I'm way off topic main concern is the yuunoa ship... To break it down nice and easy Yuu isn't ready for a relationship as stated in the manga and he shows no Feelings whatsoever for Shinoa. He probably only Cares about her in a professional way like How he cares about guren. Shinoa is well another story she cares for yuu because yuu showed her sumthing that she never experienced (To be depended on) {sumthin like that}. | I don't hate MikaxYuu, but I just don't really see it. I've always seen them as close brothers, and I don't see a lot of romance. I think there's more hints in the anime than in the manga imo. The story is going in the YuuxShinoa route right now anyway. I do understand Shinoa's feelings for Yuu, moreso in the manga, even if it seemed sudden at first. I'm pretty curious about how Yuu's feelings toward her would be, though. As of now he's not shown too many romantic feelings towards her, and there's a chance it could be forced. I think YuuxShinoa has potential to be good but it depends on how it's handled. |
