A question for the ladies: How do you pick your jeans?

I can never ever find a comfortable pair of jeans...ever.
Even if the jeans fit they are almost always too tight around the hip/rear area, and they're too loose around my waist area.

There have been times where the jeans looked like a good fit, but I still had the issue with them being too big near my waist and it ends up becoming uncomfortable to walk in.

I usually purchase jeans that are meant for those with a pear shape or curvy shape, but even then I still run into that same problem.

I was wondering where you gals find your jeans and how comfortable they are to you.

There's clothing that will fit nearly any figure and accent most of the curves if you're intending to do so. Otherwise, you could wear baggy clothing and just not care about the fashion aspect of apparel.

I already wear baggy pants, yoga pants, fitness pants, sweats, etc, but I just want a decent pair of jeans for once *cries*.

And the thing is that whenever I purchase those jeans that are meant for "curves" or those kind of jeans with a smaller waist:bigger hip ratio they still never fit right -_-.

idk...maybe I'm shopping at the wrong places.

I'd suggest looking for jeans that are more flexible if you're having such an issue. There's quite an array of jeans that border paint-ons but are relatively unnoticeable in difference, especially for the male populace. Other than that you can always have your clothing altered for your personal figure. Tailors are still available in the modern age.

I have a girl avatar and my sexuality is questionable (not really) so I'll answer anyways!

I pick my jeans out on how thick they are not really for fashion since I'll use them for work

I heard tailors can be expensive, but I suppose I'll have to resort to that if I can't find any elsewhere.
And yes, almost all the pairs I buy are pretty flexible, but sometimes they can be too tight OR they'll feel fine the first day and then start to feel uncomfortale after that.

I would want a fashionable pair, but I am also to the point where I'm like "fuck it, I just need at least one pair that is somewhat comfortabe".

That's why I stopped using jeans. It's alright I guess, if you don't mind all the random people staring at you just because you're pantless. I mean, yes, I'm on the street wearing nothing but my undies, get over it you bitch.

In all seriousness though, I'm not too nitpicky about clothing so I don't have this problem...often.

PS. I'm not a lady...idk what I'm doing here...adios.

I usually have to, but of course...still uncomfortable.
Besides, I wanted to get jeans for going out and most of my shirts I own wouldn't look right with a belt.

I like forever 21 because they're cheap, but their jeans NEVER fit right to be honest. Also, most of the time I have the issue of the jeans either being too tight or too loose, even if I go just one size up or down.

I like blue notes other kind of pants/bottoms, but their jeans can be a bit too long for me and I have also run into the same issue where the waist is too big on some of them.

ardene's fit, but they would get hella uncomfortable to sit in. My ass would always show -_- but then again, I haven't bought every single pair from them.

Levi's are the best I have tried thus far, but I have that annoying problem where it can be a bit too baggy around part of my thigh area and calf area.

Since I mainly wear pants, leggings, yoga pants, sweats I am a bit out of the loop about which jean places I should try out. Everyone I go shopping I just end up getting pissed off because nothing fits. lol

Idk if there's some sort of trick I could try with my jeans (like you know how some girls stretch out their jeans with pillows and shit like that? Idk though, because I guess it could ruin them).

Oh when that summer time comes, I never wear pants (because I wear summer dresses fo lyfe).

But of course, I was looking for at least one decent pair of jeans to wear when going out.

Damn you. lol My friend is like that too though.
She just looks at the size and she knows it fits. I can do that with shirts and dresses most of the time. Jeans? nah, I gotta put in work If I want to find some that fit.

lol I'm being honest here, I never wear about 60% of the jeans I own because they're usually varying degrees of uncomfortable. I'm probably very nitpicky about them but I just can't get through my day without discomfort while wearing them.
I just wear three pairs of jeans, each for a month straight..

If your measurements are relatively common then no because the jeans were most likely scaled that way. Most jeans are designed to fit certain measurements as far as waist to hip ratio, so if they fit you fine then that's probably it.
For me, not so much since my waist to hip ratio isn't deemed as "common" in the clothing world.

Yes my boyfriend has become nitpicky too for similar reasons.

Also, for everyone saying "just wear a belt", I stated that ONE of the problems is that they are too loose around the waist. The belt doesn't fix the other problems such as a right fit around the hips, rear, and thigh area.

I don't have high waist jeans, but I have high waist pants (it's a sort of stretchy tight fit material) and I freaking love them!

I used to have a pair of jeans like that, but when I lost weight the waist got too loose so I had to say bye bye.

What fits me barely?Ok, with my big hips i need one size or two max above that.

These will do!

I too prefer baggy stuff though, but when jeans are in better taste, size 9 barely fits so i get size 10 or 11.

Size 9 usually fits me, but I have jeans that are a size 7 and even a size 11.

Although, whenever I look at the measurement chart for what jeans fit what size it's never fucking accurate. Lol

You didn't read did you?

1.) doesn't fix the comfort. I stated the waist part was too big because it added to the annoyance, not as a direct cause.

2.) I also stated certain clothing items would not go with a belt. But like I said in 1.), that is my main problem.

There ya go...

Well unless you wear clothes directed towards women, have a women's figure, and know through personal experience what it's like to shop for women's jeans, go ahead and comment.

Yasss leggings!
And you're right, denim is already uncomfortable.
In the past I have had jeans that were comfortable, but I no longer have them. :(

I see other girls with somewhat similar shapes as me who claim to have found jeans that were comfortable. I never found out where those girls shopped though.

Lol what are you talking about?
You really think women can't naturally have small waist and big butts? Where do you live?!

Like seriously, how have you never met a woman with a figure like that? Have you never met people? Have you never been outside?

Also, I am talking about ratio size, not literally a stick sized waist and an ass the size of a bear lol.

Lol well other guys commented doing just that, and you can too.

But there wasn't a point to try to turn it into a "what aboutz da menz" when obviously my question was directed towards those who buy women's jeans and wear them. If you do then obviously that helps me.

Nah, you said "hit the gym" lol.
And then I responded that skinny girls can have big butts too.
Then you proceeded to say they don't exist. You could have just ended there.

And don't talk about using "fuck words" when you called this guy a dumbass just because he said to ignore you.
