| Legend of the Galactic Heroes is quite merciless in regard of killing off characters and it's pretty graphic too. 80's style of gore which is full of win. |

| Giant Robo, it has the same objectives as TTGL, manliess and awesome. You can see where some of it lead into some things that happened in TTGL (it's 7 episodes, but the episodes are all 45 minutes long, except the last which is an hour). Also, watch the first and second episodes of the Ginrei Special (especially the 2nd one) |

| Thirding Baccano! because I love it xD Adding: - Darker than BLACK (not too bloody, but Hei is fairly merciless) - Kuroshitsuji (although, if you can, read the manga - the anime is more light-hearted, although it does have its moments) |
| Another vote for Baccano, LoGH, Texhnolyze, Black lagoon, Hellsing Ultimate and Basilisk. Armor Hunter Mellowlink is also worth a try, and if you like it, try Armored Trooper Votoms as well. |

| Ghost - Requiem of the Phantom, it's about assassins. The main guy (Zwei) is fairly merciless throughout the story, but leans a bit to the emotianal side as well. The main chick on the other hand has no emotions at all. |

| Hellsing Ultimate, Kara no Kyoukai (occasionally ridiculously awesome) and Black Lagoon, all seconded. Can't add any off the top of my head, but these are certainly worth your time. |
