I discovered Haikyuu!! from seeing a video of Hinata getting hit by the volleyball on tumblr... I'm interested to see how you guys found out about this anime/manga.

For me it was when it was announced that it was going to be animated, I got curious, and started reading the manga and liked it so much that caught up with it, watched the anime an now here I am impatiently waiting for the second season.

I think it was when they announced the new animations and I read the description of Haikyuu!! and it sounded good so I looked at it... one episode and I was stuck :3 ♥

Publicity of this manga in 'Kuroko no Basket' (french version). The 2 are edited by the same french publisher (Kazé Manga). I'm really in love of sports Shonen at this time, so... ^^

I got tons of haikyuu spam on instagram cuz some japanese illustrators i follow loves it (and ofc they make so good fanarts tho) . I fell in love with their drawings and i thought that characters looked so cool so i decided to watch it and now it's my favourite anime ~

Im 5'11" and I play girls club volleyball, and when I saw adds for the 'secando season' on Crunchyroll, I just had to watch it since I had never heard of a sports anime for volleyball.

My exboyfriend told me about it, 'cause he knew I was totally in love with sports anime (at that time, Free! and Kuroko no Basuke). He told me that there was a rude, blonde, glasses character, and that instantly made me want to watch it!! XD

Some time last year, a friend of mine told me to watch this because I loved volleyball so much. I wasn't really fond of anime by the time so I ignored her. It was when I saw a Haikyuu!! gif on a Manga page. It looked interesting so I gave it a try. Well, I got hooked immediately. Now, I'm all 'Hey, Haikyuu!! is.." whenever I talk to her. Lol.

I used to follow some person on Instagram who posted short videos of various anime op/ed. So I saw the Haikyuu!! one and got interested. At that time, I didn't really like anime as much, but it sparked some interest in me, because it vaguely reminded me of Free! So yeah... I watched one episode and got hooked, and I'm proud to say that Haikyuu!! is anime that I've finished watching the quickest. XD

I gor a vine like a year later an saw a vine with Tsukishima, and I was like, omg he is hot, so I checked out the show and I love it.

I was on a sports anime kick on CrunchyRoll after marathoning through Ace of Diamond and Baby Steps. I was tired of watching baseball and basket ball anime, and was looking for a fresh sport that I knew little about to enjoy, and that's when I found Haikyuu. I have never looked back. Can't wait for season 3. HYPE!!!

I never watched anime until college, so about 2 years ago would have been the first time , i have been on and off anime until recent but now I'm addicted. Like many I'm new to the anime community and started off watching the most mainstream stuff, i mostly watched the action packed shows filled with epic fight scenes and hugely suspenseful moments. After college me and 4 fiends moved into a house, which for all of us was the first time moving from out childhood homes. One day i went into my friend Ryan's room (the guy that got me started) and he was watching Haikyuu. I watched a few minutes and asked him about it, being a 'noob' id never considered anything outside of the typical action based shows id seen. He told me that Haikyuu was just as action packed as anything and i should give it a try. The show naturally appealed to me because i played county level vollyball for 6 years but with being busy with university it wast until recently i started watching anime again and gave it a try. Lets just say its my favourite show I've ever watched, i cant wait for s3! This is my first club and post on the site so hi everyone :D

My friend told me some months ago about a volleyball anime that made her cried. At that time i wasnt interested in sport animes so I just kinda ignored her advised.

But something that always caught my eye were their character designs. They just look so good, each character (at least the main cast) is easy to recognize without going over-the-top shonen anime style. I freaking love the karasuno uniforms, its such a great color combination and its perfect for the main duo.

For some gifs I saw I could see a great effort in their animation, (and fyi im a big animation fan) And at first I even thought it was animated by Kyoani (Production IG is still p good tho)

With that said those were the factors that convinced me to watch the anime. For some reason the first season was in youtube. So when I binge-watch it in 2 days I wasnt expecting at all to cry like a baby at the last episode. I was absolutely blown away.

Thats how I started reading the manga and loving more these characters. It's so ironic that its about a sport I personally dislike because I was always so bad at (7 years of volleyball in P.E and i still suck lmao) and even a sport my country is actually really good at.

I love haikyuu, and I'm so happy I gave it chance to watch it and read it :)

My best friend told me about it, but i didn't pay much attention...

Then, I started training volleyball in the school's team for a tournament, and taking classes at a club in my city... the boys team had identical shirts to Karasuno, and my friend noticed it and showed it to me...

One day I decided to see the first season and then I fall in love with this anime <3333

I knew about the anime when the first season started airing, but never really felt like watching it and the art style didn't tickle my fancy (feel like slapping myself...). But then after I started watching Kuroko no Basket (which was my obsession at the time) I felt like watching more sports anime and decided to watch Haikyuu. Now I love this show way more than Kuroko xD

I'm not gonna lie, I just picked this up because it keeps coming to my recommendations after watching Kuroko No Basuke. I hated volleyball and loathed playing it for mandatory PE back in HS, but man, Haikyuu sold it for me. If Haikyuu was around during my High School years, I would have probably had a different opinion of the sport. lol

I have seen post on tumblr and gifs about Haikyuu and at first I was like "Nah" then I came with this audio of all the times Hinatas screams "OOOOOH" and I said "I should totally see this" But at that moment I started Haikyuu when it was airing yet and left it at episode 6 I Think... one year later I came across this cute Tsukkiyama post and I was like "Omg I know them!" and one year ago I ship them even not knowing a lot about them <3
Started first reading the manga and now we're here, update with it.

I discovered it while checking out the song 'Climber' by Galileo Galilei. It was the ED1 of Haikyuu S2. I didn't want to watch a sports anime back then.So I didn't watch it right away. Again,after some months maybe,it's third season was aired,and immediately became the top anime for that time. I also saw its name mentioned in some quizzes. So,just for a change in mood,I decided to watch the first episode.I couldn't leave it after that. It totally took me in.I'm a soccer fan,but Haikyuu also gave me thrills enough through the tensions it created.It's also gave happiness and boost... One of the wonderful animes out there. Totally love it !!!💕💕
