What's everyone's experience with volleyball before/after Haikyuu?

I played a little in grade 9 and my arms were purple with bruises all the time so I had to quit. xD

Also I don't think I would do good in any position being 159 cm and slow/dull movements...it's just not made for my body. What about you guys? :]

We played volleyball all the time in middle school and in high school but I sucked at it SO MUCH even though I'm pretty tall (179cm) and also I never really understood rules until I started reading Haikyuu!! that is.

SO I GOTTA SAY MY EXPERIENCE WITH VOLLEYBALL WAS THE WORST POSSIBLE. I HATED IT WITH PASSION :'D I PREFERRED FOOTBALL HA HA.

I played before i watched Haikyuu!! and watched as the season was going on and then i loved the sport and absolutely became addicted to it and am only getting better every day. It made me motivated to be as good as Nishinoya at being Libero and he still inspires me.

I was scared of it when I first tried it because the ball went "Whoosh!" past me and could've hit me in the face.

But now, I kinda am interested in playing the sport because of Haikyuu.

Hopefully, I can improve even though it's not actually my main sport. ^-^

Before watching Haikyuu I had no idea how to play the sport. In middle school, I wanted to try out for the team but I did not make it. When I started watching Haikyuu I felt like I knew everything there is to know about volleyball and wanted to start playing!

Played a lot in middle school, almost every day, then i stopped in highschool for no reason, and i finally started practicing again, just recently.

I kinda learned it in 4th grade or 3rd grade im im not mistaken. Ngl but i did pretty well that time. I was one of the students that do the movements right.

I learned it in school and really enjoyed it! As I remember my team and I weren't that bad haha but then I dropped it and now after Haikyuu!! I want to get back at it. Once this whole situation has calmed down I will try to join the volleyball club at my university lol Wish me luck XD

I was inspired by Haikyuu but definitely not to play actual volleyball nor any sport. my two experiences with volleyball were trash. One was in 6th grade were a girl who was forced to be my partner kept getting annoyed bc I sucked at the game. Another one was when I had to play volleyball with the teachers in front of the whole school in 5th grade and I tried to get away from the ball as much as I could.😕

So before, i didnt even knew what volleyball was. I watched a tiktok edit of hinata and kageyama, so i searched more and found the anime was haikyuu. So i watched it in 2021, i got obssesed to haikyu, i wanted to be like Nishinoya, it was my dream. before covid i used to be a basketball player but when i got for first time again after 2 years into basketball, i wasent happy, i just felt i didnt belong there anymore. I joined volleyball team, and im here, almost a year later, Nishinoya is what has made me become a Libero. And still, i wanna and i know i will be just like him.
