| I didn't like it. Near was a smudge in a great series, and the way he "won" at the end was a bit dumb, something Light would have normally overseen. I hated to see light lose, but if it had to happen, Near should have died as well. |

| I was freaked out by how Light utterly broke down in the end. It's realisitc that he would go a little insane. And I think it's good that he died even though I didn't want him to. But I wish they would have ended the series like they ended the live action movies. It was always about L vs Light. Near and Mello shouldn't have been involved. Sorry, that image from the manga is confusing. What happened to Light in the manga? I haven't read it. |

| If you're not really satisfied with the anime ending, you should watch the first Death Note 'special': Death Note Rewrite: Genshi Suru Kami, it has a few new scenes. If you're on Light's side, you will really enjoy it, since this special has a good ending for him. (One of the new scenes is WICKED XD ) |

| One of the best endings I could have imagined, despite my undying support/admiration/love/obsession for Raito. It was inevitable that he lost at some point, and it was done in a beautiful way. Plus, I don't think I've ever cried that much in response to anything I watch/read, etc. I could barely see the screen. |

| I didn't really see it as a fitting ending to such a wonderful anime. In all honesty, I truly believed that in the 2nd last/last episode, that Light would win and continue to live!... ... Which would mean another season of DN...yay! That unfortunately wasn't to be :( But, if Light had to die, I guess it was a great way to end it. Def, my favourite anime :D |

| I thoroughly hated the ending. Yea it woulda been perfect if Light lived & Near died but they didn't do it that way. However if Light had seen the DN before hand he would have noticed that it wasn't the real one. I <33 Light ^.^ Mikami would have never wrote that Kira spokeswoman (sorry bad with names) because Kira told him not to worry & not to act on his own. Mikami respected & feared Kira so it makes no sense that he would betray an order. I liked Mikami in the beginning of his character but grew to dislike him some before the ending even occurred. I like Misa ^.^ However I felt that allowing her to regain her memory was such a turning point to Light's demise. A part of me wonders if she had a hand in stopping Light. The ending leaves it open for speculation. As for Light losing it, its believable. But thats because Light was use to having everything go the way he wanted & in the end he no longer had any control of the situation. Light clung on to whatever he could use no matter how small & insignificant it was. The whole Near & Mello deal was just screwbally. I mean some of the stuff they did L did too. There were differences between them but not enough to have Near catch Light so quickly. I agree that Light began to read L kinda like a book & took advantage of a great situation in order to kill L. However I can't phantom how in the hell with so much little actual proof that Near was so quick to figure everything out not including what Mello helped unearth. |

| I love the ending. It's quite hard to guess and i think, it thrilled my heart to see the way Light die. It's also interesting to see how Ryuuk commenting the situation and his 'sympathy' to Light. Also the way it ended Misa. I love tragic ending. It's more realistic. |

Don't get me wrong I admire how he, a mere student who only had a notebook to kill people and his brains to rely on, was able to reach so close into creating his vision of a perfect world complete with Kira as the ruler. But his downfall was perfect because he was put through the same fear that those criminals and policemen experienced when he carelessly ended their existance and by this his apathy was eliminated replaced by the human feelings he had abandon. |

| I don't know how I felt about the ending really...I mean, some parts I thought were wicked awesome, while others I felt were over the top and weird. I think I'm indifferent about it because L was my favorite character and I loved watching him, so after he died I was kind of reluctant to watch the rest. |
