Can he be considered best character of series because of his...

Well, because of his craziness, and everything.

I played San Andreas, but not finished, and I finished V main story.

I've finished GTAV and, I agree, he's my favorite. I find it hard to call him the "best", but he certainly has a useful special ability. He was definitely the most fun to watch for me.

Nico is still the best protagonist of the series, but by GTA V alone Trevor's the best.

The other protagonists share similarities with previous characters from rockstar games.

Michael shares similarities with John Marston.
Franklin is a combination of Nico and Luis.

Trevor is the most original and brings the most unique scenarios.

I just loved that when you switched to him from another character, he would often be in some random situation. Like waking up in his underwear on the top of Mount Chiliad, or on the highway in a woman's dress. One time I spawned on the highway in my underwear being chased by a couple cops.

Trevor was that character that everyone wants to be, but don't have the balls to actually take after.

Trevor? Original?
Every penis joke he made can be found anywhere else. Sorry, but he was not cool or interesting at all.

Trevor and Michael were both kind of dumb. My favorite was Franklin.

The only interesting character in the game. They ditched Franklin's story the second they introduced Michael, and Michael's missions just had you take care of his awful family.

Scooter buddies!
I loved the part where Michael made Trevor realize he was a hipster

He is fine.
Would have preferred more focus on Franklin.
Michael was the least interesting.

Best character in that game as he doesn't fall into typical videogame/tv tropes

ie Black guy trying to get out of the hood/middle age white guy losing everything he has

Trevor is a favorite because he's the most "out-there" of the three. I think Michael and Franklin were fine but it's not like we haven't seen characters like them before.

I like Trevor because he's the most believable character in the GTA series yet. You can go on a murder spree, mowing people down on the pavement for no apparent reason aside from being a homicidal maniac, and it doesn't feel out of character when playing as Trevor at all (unlike literally everyone else in GTA ever).

Who told you to do that? They removed the timed killing sprees several games ago because it was out of character.

There's literally mini missions that appear for Trevor where you do literally the same thing you did in the earlier games.

You mow down groups of a specific group, like cops or rednecks.

Yeah, I did a few of those, but you said that as if indiscriminate murder has been an ever-present theme in the series. Aside from Trevor's side missions, this hasn't been a thing in the series since Vice City, I believe. Besides, the targets in those mini-missions have offended him and are trying to kill him. Even Trevor has morals. He doesn't randomly kill unarmed civilians.

I didn't play too much of the early GTAs except San Andreas, but weren't the rampages in those just for money/weapons? They weren't required to actually progress the story, and in GTA 3 especially the main character has no personality at all so of course these types of missions wouldn't be out of place. The new GTAs are story and character based so there needs to be some kind of logic even for mass murderers.

I'm actually playing GTA5 now and I think that Rockstar Games maybe pushed it a little too far with Trevor; he is a good character and the motion capture/voice acting is great, although is just way too crazy.

I agree. That's why I want a Game Over instead of jail time for serious offenses. Also, I think a reserved character who listens more and talks less would be better for the series because the player's actions can undermine how the character was written. GTA used to have silent protagonists. I don't want a completely silent character, but I want someone whose personality, emotions and morals are less defined.

I was originally put off on the idea of playing as three different people, but it was really well done and I'm glad it it was made that way.

All the characters were great... I thought Michael was modeled after and voiced by Ray Liotta for the longest time. Trevor was my favorite, but Franklin was cool too.

I just wish the story was longer. I wanted to know more about the characters.
