| Oddly enough K-on! works really we for this and it is surprising how much closure the anime actually gives considering it is mostly about girls eat cake. It technically has a sequel manga but that doesn't really count because its not necessary to enjoy the ending. http://myanimelist.net/anime/5680/K-On!
