I want a romance anime/manga where the lead is either against or indifferent/uncaring towards (the) romance in the beginning, but slowly warms up to it as the series goes on.

The lead can be any gender, as long as they aren't eager to be in a relationship or anything of the sort. Romance should be one of the central focuses of the story in general as well.

Thanks in advance!

You're basically looking for Clannad 2.0, aren't you? :P

Honestly, nothing can compare, but you might enjoy watching Kimi Ga Nozumu Eien.

Itazura na Kiss is definitely the perfect anime for that.

Another possible candidate is Lovely Complex.

Nodame Cantabile - Nodame declares her love for Chiaki at the end of the first episode. His journey to romance takes a lot longer.

Saiunkoku Monogatari - The heroine wants to become her country's first female imperial official and serve her people. While she probably does reciprocate the feelings of the male MC, Shurrei has more important priorities.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukanai is not brilliant, in fact it's nothing compared to clannad. But it's worth the watch...
