Based off of my current top 20, what (that I haven't seen, or dropped/put-on-hold) would you reccomend?

I know of the reccomendations near the bottom of each series' page, but would rather have your thoughts directly. ;)

My top 20 currently are:

- Clannad / Clannad: After Story
- InuYasha / InuYasha: Kanketsu-hen
- Kanon (2006)
- Steins;Gate / Steins;Gate: Oukoubakko no Poriomania / Steins;Gate: Fuka Ryouiki no Déjà vu
- SKET Dance
- Kemono no Souja Erin
- Full Moon wo Sagashite
- Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo
- Angel Beats / Angel Beats!: Another Epilogue
- Special A
- Hanasaku Iroha / Hanasaku Iroha: Home Sweet Home
- Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
- Zetsuen no Tempest
- Kokoro Connect / Kokoro Connect: Michi Random
- Toradora!
- Mashiroiro Symphony: The Color of Lovers
- Aa! Megami-sama! (TV) / Aa! Megami-sama!: Sorezore no Tsubasa
- Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
- Barakamon
- Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi / Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi OVAs

Feel free to give as many or as few as you want for whichever of the above you want, but justify your entries. :)

I know this is a tiny bit daunting, hope you guys get a challenge out of/have fun with this. XD

Noragami, because its somewhat similar to Zetsuen no Tempest
Rec, based of Kanon and Clannad, its a short and sweet romance
Hatsukoi Limited, cause you like romance
Chihayafuru, cause this and Hanasaku Iroha have those determined female protags

Man I can't believe you actually dropped Bakuman. Well, it's true that the 1st season of Bakuman seems kind of meh, but trust me, it only gets better from there. For me, the reason why I watch Bakuman is because I'm quite interested with how the romance between the male and the female MC is taking shape. In fact, it's slowly but steadily getting better by the minute. That, and the struggles and realities the mangaka face in the manga industry. It's as realistic a slice of life as it can get in terms of depicting the life of a mangaka.

Another anime I recommend is Juuni Kokuki (The Twelve Kingdoms). It's been a long time since I watched that, but the reason I like this is because of the great storytelling and the unique Chinese culture associated with it.

Nodame Cantabile because it is just hilarious, and after watching this, you will be inspired by just how great classical music is.

So yeah, basically these three anime.

@Roy: OP is asking which anime similar to his Top 20 should he watch, not which of the Top 20 should he watch. He obviously has already watched those Top 20.

Seems like you want good romance/dramas, usually based in schools. Comedy is good, if you liked Sakurasou, Special A and Toradora.

Byousoku 5 centimeter - Romance/Drama - It's a touching 3 episode movie. Story progresses slowly, but it is probably the purest romance out there.
Kotoura-san - Romance/Comedy/Drama - Based around an ESP girl in a normal world. Apparently there's a romance that starts, but I have only seen up to episode 4. I can promise you, it is definately something that you will like.
Guilty Crown - Drama/Romance/Action - Typical guy fights for girl anime. A lot happens, but there is a good amount of drama in later episodes. The ending made me cry man-tears.

not as sure about this one but
Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu - mainly a comedy, romance - It has really good comedy, usually based on the protagonist's stupidity. He is loved by two girls, which creates even more humour.

Should have checked your list before :/
Either way, watch Guilty Crown
if you run you get faster to your location

have a nice day

Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun
Gintama
Shinsekai yori

I'd really recommend Shinsekai yori > Penguindrum > Gintama > Nozaki-kun > Part-time Devil

Correction: I finished the first season of 'Bakuman' and though it was decent, but didn't like season 2 at all from the get-go (hard to explain why).

Concerning 'Juuni Kokuki': but for what reason based off of/in comparison with my list?

Concerning 'Nodame Cantabile': do you mean comedy (based off of ? from my list) or romcom (based off of ? from my list)? Clarification would be nice.

Already watched: Part-time Devil, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, Shinsekai yori & Penguindrum.

Dropped 'Gintama'...

You missed the "(that I haven't seen, or dropped/put-on-hold)" part. ;)

I didn't check, my apologies. You have a lot of animes in your list so the most I'll do is go through the compatibility list to check what you've watched (since I'll try to recommend you what I watched. Anything else is based off of what's in my PTW and similar genre and atmosphere to your favorites)

Hunter x Hunter
Kimi to Boku
ef: A Tale of Memories
GTO
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
True Tears
Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou

Hunter x Hunter 2011 is a fantastic anime. You like some shounen I see and this anime certainly blows almost everything out the water. 3rd highest rated anime on all of MAL and deservingly so.

Trigun is a classic anime plain and simple. Everyone should watch it. It has a great combination of comedy and action and once the anime starts to get more serious in its second half... I'll just let you watch and enjoy.

Samurai Champloo is a badass anime. There's no other way to describe. Same director from Cowboy Bepop, definitely give it a chance.

I highly recommend you pick up Durarara!! again since I see that you dropped it. It's by all the people who made Baccano! which you loved and imo it's simply a better version. I find that Durarara!! has a superior setting, better characters and is simply more interesting. It's also getting a boatload of extra seasons coming up so that's a major plus.

Concerning Hunter x Hunter (2011): I see. But being more specific (in regards to my top 20 list) would be nice. XD

Concerning Trigun: But why (in regards to my top 20 list)?

Concerning Samurai Champloo: But why (in regards to my top 20 list)?

Concerning Durarara!!: Maybe I will when all the extra seasons finish airing. ;)

Hunter x Hunter 2011 is a long running action, battle, magic, fantasy, etc. anime like InuYasha and is thought provoking similar to Zetsuen no Tempest. It's a little deeper then your average shounen. The characters are developed so well and their relationships are paramount to the story. The anime also has a large cast like Angel Beats has and a developing sense of companionship amongst the characters.

Champloo is kinda similar. You've got your awesome fight scenes and I saw you gave Bebop such a high rating although it's not listed here. Great sword fighting scenes though and the animation style and action is so cool. Episodic style with an overarching plot point also relates some of the anime here I think.

I haven't seen everything in your top so relating Trigun is a little hard. I chose it simply because it's a classic, I've never heard of anyone who disliked Trigun, and honestly it should be on everyone's list similar to Bepop.

For Nodame Cantabile, it's a rom com that I would say is better than Toradora.

For Juuni Kokuki, I would say it's somewhat akin to Inuyasha in terms of the world/setting. The start is also similar in that the main heroine is suddenly teleported into a feudal world. And as stated earlier, it has a great storyline.
