If you want Pokemon fit for competitive battling, don't breed shinies. I think GF spoiled us a bit too much; shinies used to be incredibly hard to get, now people whine because they don't have perfect IVs. |

I don't play competitive, but even then I will never want an Alakazam with an adamant nature. What's so wrong with breeding your own Abra and then turning it shiny? You're not harming anyone. It's only aesthetics. If you're not affecting third party people, there's nothing wrong with powersaves, other than "morals", which quite honestly, I couldn't care less about that. I do, however, agree with you when you say people shouldn't use this to their advantage while trading. The major difference is time saving. I realized last week that I spent 90% of my free time trying to obtain shinies, and only one of them was even half decent. To further add, it's still completely RNG. I got tired of spending 8 hours a day without any success of shinies at all. |
