After learning about the new Tsubasa Chronicle manga..............i have decided to try out the previous manga and anime...........Which i have been eluding for so long now.........

The anime is not recommended to be honest.

Its like watching 4kids or DiC versions of dubs of stuff.

It barely follows the source material, it incorrectly adapts various things, it pads out EVERRRYTHING with useless filler it tones down the mood into something far lighter than it originally is and it goes off the rails directly contradicting the source material and doing its own thing

Just watch the OVA series of Tsubasa when it comes to anime but after the manga.

You guys were right.........
After watching the first 2 episodes and reading the 2 chapters i am seeing the difference...........
And why ........does the anime makers skip the whole content of manga but are willing to add fillers?

Let's just say that the differences only grow more noticeable, since, ironically, as manga gets darker, anime continues to get lighter. And then it starts to make "guesses" on where the manga might go getting it completely wrong.

"Tokyo Revelations OVA" though is good. ITs done by different studio and it pretty much adapts a single story arc from the midway through the manga, so its only possible to watch it after finishing the manga. In order to see on how it COULD have looked.

I've been looking for something to read after catching up with Hunter x Hunter, maybe I'll finally give Tsubasa a chance. I've been kind of weary of it, though, because of how it is apparently connected to other series like xxxHolic.

If i were to turn a blind eye of my knowledge from the manga, actually i found TRC anime pretty decent, particularly the 2nd season.

Ahh, this brings back memories. Maybe i should re-read the original manga someday.

- Rekord arc was completely butchered, especially its bullshit ending. Nope, can't have gray morality in our shitty goodie-two-shoes 4Kids adaptation, let's do filler to fix EVERYTHING.
- No way they consulted CLAMP for the last arc, considering 99% of it directly contradicts what is latter established in manga.
- Yeah, they so caught up with manga and sooo had to do their own material that they outright skipped an entire story arc in the manga for no reason at all...that makes sense...NOT.

Third season is impossible because the character personalities are nowhere near the way they are in the manga and most of S2 already completely contradicts the manga.

TRC and xxxholic practically are one story, told from two different points of view, with actions of characters of one manga affecting the other.

Does this mean X/1999 is getting a reboot or second series too?
Probably not, but I hope so.

Ending makes perfect sense. If you read xxxholic that is.
TRC's ending's problem was that it was NOT an ending.

Having a sequel to Tsubasa now makes a lot more sense if you've read up to the current xxxHolic Rei chapters. A bit upset that Rei is going on hiatus since I was really enjoying it and I'm quite apprehensive with this sequel because I'm probably in the minority who actually liked the ending to the original Tsubasa.

That being said, it's CLAMP so you know they're going to make it work -somehow-

Quick and probably dumb question...does "published for a short period of time" mean it'll be a really short series?

What do you mean when adapting something original which is darker but then got changed into lighter (if this makes sense)?

Do you mean 'between' like in the pair thing? or simply like in the comrades thing? As in the pair thing, i suppose (especially considering CLAMP often publish for a very large age-range readers) that Kurofay shippers -like myself- will get many hints and clues of them in the usual, subtly, CLAMP's style, lol.
Either way tho, who knows what our mangakas have in mind for those two. Knowing them i'd say there's still a lot to come before the story ends. *crossing fingers for the best*

But one thing i expect for sure to openly see between Kurogane and Fai is for the dymanics of their relationship to have gone even more onward than it had at the end of TRC because I would be very disappointed to find them stepped backward instead of making progress. ;_;
And i've not read xxxHolic so i don't know what their short appearance after the end of TRC (people told me there was one?) was like, nor if they talked about what they were doing or if it was only the trio or Sakura was back with them, or how Kurofay were acting between each other. I'm kind of curious tbh, can anyone tell me?
