Very apparent in action animes, but I'd be hard pressed to find one episode of any anime I've seen that didn't have any yelling. The english dubs try to copy, but without the proper emotion, making them seem flat to me. I agree wholeheartedly with Bebop being an example of a good dub. |

| Japanese is for me always better. And subs are not problem for me because I have used to read subs because there are not much dubbing here (only kids shows) . I have watched all Hollywood movies/shows subbed from that age when I learned to read so no problem for me. |

| Miyazaki films tend to have very good English dubs. On the other hand 4kids dubs are a prime example how some anime should stay in Japanese. (Looking at you Yugioh) A dub doesn't really stop me from watching a show, usually I either grow to like the dub voice, or just bear with it until the end of it. One of the series I much preferred sub over dub (despite only seeing clips of it) was Bible Black, while in another case I prefer the Hellsing dub over it's sub. |

| Whichever has the better performances by the voice actors overall is better. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I care about the directors precious original Japanese performances if I think the actors on the dub are more compelling (yes this is extremely rare). It has become an overly complicated debate, just watch whichever you enjoy more. |

| Not me. For one thing, sometimes subtitles give me a headache, particularly if I'm watching the anime on my computer. It's an issue with my eyes. Sometimes I do prefer the subbed version, but really, one or the other is not really a big issue these days. I go about 50-50 on sub vs dub. Maybe it's because I grew up on anime when dubbing was -truly- bad. For those of you who have not heard the Hong Kong based English dub of Macross: Do You Remember Love, consider yourselves lucky... |

| To find nice dubbed anime is difficult. I don't know why it happens, but too often when I watch dubbed anime, it's seems to me that voice actors didn't ever heard the voices of seyu. I know, that to find the voice similar to japanese one is too hard, but... Dio Eraclea's (Last Exile)) english voice really shocked me o_0' ... ... ... I prefer watching in original, seyu's voices and subs. But, unfortunately, not everyone of my friends like to watch anime and to read subs all the time. So I'm looking forward for anime with good dubbing too. |
| Anime in its orginal voice actors are better than dubs (at least for me that is) I've always noticed that when an anime is dubbed over the orginal voices, the way you view the chracter changes. In my case Lelouch from code geass. I listened to the orginal and the dubbed version. The dubbed version for me ruined the image of lelouch. Probably cause he sounded more of a girl in dubbed Rofl |

| I'm generally against dubbing, as I think there's always something lost in translation. I do not consider Japanese voice talent to be superior to others, and any dub might have better acting than the original, but still it never feels right unless it's in Japanese. |

If there weren't the japanese seiyuus, the bishounens (and bishoujos, I don't know because I don't know when a bishoujo is making you do the face "+O+" and when not :D) they won't be as "KYYAAA-ish" as they are :lol: |

| I started out watching dub because I was lazy but after being forced to watch subs to finish a series I found that it gives the show more of an impact. Subs all the way, no doubt about it. XD |

I started watching FMA in dub and found it to be one of my favorites. I think if you start in dubs its harder to switch over for that anime. | Subs. Dub voice actors never get the character right. Older dubs were fucking atrocious, newer ones a little less so but until they can do it perfectly and 100% professionally (ie; make a career out of only voice acting like the japanese voice actors do) then they should keep their day job. I always watch anime subbed. Original language for everything I watch, anime or otherwise. |
| I always prefer original Japanese dubs, I think that Japanese dubs are fantastic, and very well made. I watched a few English dubbed animes and I was really disappointed, the voices were horrible,and they weren't very convincing. |
