| So I know that there are currently "335" chapters out for Berserk right now. But I do know that there are the Black Swordsman and Golden Age Sagas (which have 16 chapters combined) that come before "Chapter 1" of the series. I'm just curious to know if MAL will include those 16 chapters in the total chapter count after the series is over. The reason I am asking is that they usually put that information in the "More Info" box. |
| When I first read berserk, some sites had some chapters wrong I was so confuse. Thank fully I found a better site that had them in the right order. :3 |

The first four volumes clearly all have chapters but the first numbered chapter titled "Sword Wind" does not come up until Volume 5. And then the chapter count continues until the Chapter 335. |
| No, it wasn't. It depends on what website you might have read Berserk on. Some sights have it as the first chapter. And as the manga progresses they start numbering the chapters 271.1, 272.2, 272.3, until it evens out to 335. |
| I asked the same question not too long ago and someone gave me a nice clear answer: DemiFiendRSA said: I think Sword Wind was the first time Berserk was serialized in Young Animal. Prior to that, Berserk was serialized in Animal House before Hakusensha, the publisher of Berserk, rebranded the magazine into Young Animal. That would also explain why the early episodes had so many pages prior to Sword Wind. |
