| Shakugan no shana works for this in a few ways. The main girl is sort of fused with the God of destruction and the first two seasons deal with the implications of what she must do. Now without spoiling much the third season is pretty much what you are looking for except the main guy is looking to reshape the world to his will (rather than rule it). There is also more to it than that but it would spoil your enjoyment of the series if I mentioned what that was. |
