like the title

no anime older than 2008, no manga
has to be the main male
don't matter what drama, but the plot has to focus a lot on the trauma
no hentai
thank you

Main character from 11Eyes has a bit of trauma from watching his sister die as a kid, but it's not too big of plot point.

Yui in Kokoro Connect is about the closest I can think of other than that (though she's a girl and not the central MC).

And it's comedic, but Yuuta from Chuunibyou is just extremely embarrassed about his entire past.

Can't really think of any with a huge focus on it though.

You dropped Psycho pass and it's central theme is PTSD among cops who deal with violent crimes...

Mawaru penguindrum - no here is very sane due to events from childhood

Jin-roh: wolf brigade - it's from 1998, but it's a movie so animation is better than in modern series

Ergo proxy - main is so fucked up he erased his memories, it's from 2006, but animation was groundbreaking at the time

http://myanimelist.net/anime/44/Rurouni_Kenshin:_Meiji_Kenkaku_Romantan_-_Tsuiokuhen - this is more serious than main series

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Guilty Crown fits perfectly, but unfortunately OP has already seen it.

Thank you.

A specific anime comes to my mind and fit all your requirements: Shinreigari - Ghost Hound.

This is about 3 kids suffering of PTSD, each for a different reason, and trying to find why. Contains a lot of drama and supernatural. Also lots of discussions about traumas and psychological problems.

Ah I can't believe I forgot about that one. Yes, Ghost Hound is a perfect recommendation.

Gintoki Sakata, Shinsuke Takasugi, and Kotaro Katsura.
Those three. They just don't show it but probably everyday they experience it.
There's always something that will remind them.
