| Most of the romantic animes ive come across have the shy type girl acting all cutesy and stuff to be blunt no girl acts that way in real life unless they're pretending to I want an anime with a girl who's strong, funny, witty, isnt afraid to speak her mind and doesnt let other trample all over her like Holo from spice and wolf (perfect example) Or nana osaki from NANA more examples Misaki from kaichou wa maid sama (best show in the world) MC from OHSC MC from special A MC from lovely complex MC from peach girl (her personality with the guy she ends up with not her first boyfriend) reverse harem would be great ^_^ I like the idea of guy chasing after the girl No pussy guy either please Even though there are so many perfect mangas out there yet very less animes -.- |

| I guess you could try Shakugan no Shana, it's an action anime with a romance plot device, pretty much. Shana kinda fits your criteria Also +1 to Kara no Kyoukai and Bakemonogatari |

| Aku No Hana - one love interest is pleasant and sensible, the other is a troublesome missfit, the guy's a ball of stress. Mysterious Girlfriend X - established relationship early, the girls an odd one, both her and the guy are pleasant enough, there's another couple and this series is entirely about taking time to bond. |

| Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu not much romance but a good series with a very strong and weird female lead paradise kiss haven't watched the anime but read the manga and it was great also golden time still ongoing though Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou a bit old and the anime didn't finish the story but still very good with a very strong female lead |
| Akame Ga Kill - but I warn you, it gets REALLY dark and full-on at times. Otherwise, you'll love the female characters - all the ones in Night Raid and their sense of iron justice. Males and females are equally strong and have pretty much equal ranks and status, which is definitely a plus! And you'll know which one(s) like the MC :). Soul Eater - Your typical shonen anime where MC is badass, becomes strong and kicks pretty much everyone' ass, but this time it's finally a "she" not a "he". Maka Albarn is the "She". The "He" is her "soul eater" who basically transforms into a sword for her and is her trusty sidekick. And they go through lots of battles together and definitely develop trust and even feelings for each other along the way. Freezing - Claymore, essentially, except taken place in the futurstic setting. Not going to reveal much so as to not spoil anything. All I can say is - Satellizer el Bridget is KICKASS. XD Gokusen - (though I more recommend the manga, since the anime is cut short) It's Great Teacher Onizuka, basically, except the teacher is female, a member of the Yakuza, and hilariously oblivious to so much common sense in life. She is as overpowered as Onizuka with a great sense of dedication to her career as her teacher with a strong sense of justice and is willing to go as ridiculous far as Onizuka in order to teach her students life lessons, save her students, and help them. Plus you gotta see how she handles her the notorious delinquent class full of trouble students of an all-male school infamous for driving out their teachers and leaving them in tears. Oh, and did I mention that she is perverted and enjoys seeing Shin (the main student who means well and tries to help her, but always ends up needs saving) in his underwear? Also definitely +1 skip beat |
