Angel Beats- I like the cast but i don't really love anyone in the cast. Ending is Rushed.
Clannad After Story- I watched it when I was still pretty new to anime and didn't particularly enjoy it. My tastes have changed since then and plan on rewatching it some time int he future. Also i watched it dubbed and while I do like dubs i don't think the dub for this show was very good.
FLCL- I was having alot of trouble getting into it. I'll probably go back and try to watch it again when i feel in the mood for it.
^^Steins;Gate - Well worth the 10. Started bit slow, but with good characters like Okabe and Kurisu it really werent a problem of anykind. The sheer epicness of S;G is almost incomparabele. Almost.
NHK ni Youkoso! - I liked it, but didnt enjoy it that much.
It was refreshing to see dark comedy/drama for a change, and the themes of the show hit rather close at times.. Also had interesting characters and a great ending.
^Seitokai Yakuindomo OVA - Dried Squid and Takatoshi.. that was one of the funnies bits in any anime. Still, worth a 10? Not in my mind.
Death Note - Classic, deserves the 10.
Bakemonogatari - Interesting characters, witty dialogue, stunning and original art/animation.. Yep.
Nekomonogatari: Kuro - Sure. Im with you.
Nisemonogatari - Naaah. It was lacking something Bake had. Focused too much in echhi stuff.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica - Great series with stunning art. Just too damn depressing for me to truly enjoy.
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (2009) - Clad to see someone not bitching about the endless eight...Clad to see someone not complaining about the endless eight...Finally, a person not complaining about endless eight...
Toradora! - One of the best rom-coms out there, at least of the ones I've seen. Taiga was surprisingly tolerable for a Kugimiya character..

NGE - Will do an Eva marathon once the rebuild movies are done. (TV + 2 OVAs + 4 movies)
Akira - One of the most iconic anime movies in history, will watch it very soon
FLCL - I love the soundtrack of the movie. The randomness was a meh
Perfect Blue - One of the best psychological/thriller movies out there. Very well received among the anime community.
Omoide Poroporo - Was a quite a nice breather among Ghibli's films. It's kinda boring though
Toki wo Kakero Shoujo - It was a great movie, though I can't quite remember it now.
Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki - Was a very heartwarming movie, the animation/art is very superb
Oni Chichi - Lol, indeed a guilty pleasure of mine. Didn't list it because I just see it as a fap material
Code Geass - While I like Death Note in comparison, Lelouch is still a genius.
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica - My first Mahou Shoujo anime, was a very amazing experience
OT: That Violet Evergarden list design tho. *__*
I swear to God, THIS anime should be great. Don't disappoint me :O
Tsumiki no Ie: absolute deep, beautiful and touching with the melancholic vibes and great symbols. x3
Death Billiards: I prefered to rate Death Parade with 10 and Death Billiards with 9, but I totally understand you.
Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan (TV): ???
Only 3? XD
The next one has a long list, in comparison, of 10s there lol. And 3 of them are in my watching-list ^^"
Just picked a random that I liked myself: Juuni Kokuki. I loved the setting, the theme, the main character, the story. It was pretty good. I wish they didn't leave it unfinished.
What's that? So many anime, no 10s? ^^"
I pick the 9s I know, okay?
Steins;Gate:
I really love Rintarou's despair, when he tried to safe Mayuri's life. His character is absolutely funny and great. So is Kurisu. Was boring in the middle after he tried to safe her for a few episodes, but that doesn't matter. Many feels. x3 Like the topic and insanity there very much too (lol) and the OP is love.
Made in Abyss
Love it so much x3 It started as a cute anime and I love the symbol or the link between the abyss and the human(ity) soul and nature. The deeper the kids dive in, the more they explore. It was absolutely thrilling and touching and MAH FEELS. Nanachi and Mitty are ... oh wow. .__. The OP and the one OST are so great - and I adore the world building here so much.

Absolute. x3 I think the novels are ongoing? Need to pick them up again someday.
You have quite a few 10's and I really wouldn't know where to begin if I were to talk about all of them so I chose a few.
Ghost in The Shell: I gave this an 8/10. It was definitely good. I liked it a lot. But it didn't strike me as a masterpiece. It was good enough though to get me interested in some of the other anime/manga out there related to it. After watching and enjoying Ghost in The Shell I went and started reading the Pandora in The Crimson Shell manga series. It's VERY different that Ghost in The Shell. But yeah. Good movie, and I can appreciate that someone found it to be a 10/10.
Made in Abyss: YES 10/10 I adored this anime, and that doesn't seem to be the minority opinion. Lots of people, you and myself included really liked this anime. So I'm not gonna further into details here, since you probably already know why it's good. But yes, I approve.
Mononoke Hime: Might be my favroite Ghibli film, I'm not sure. It didn't make my favorites list, but much like Ghost in The Shell I can appreciate and I'm glad that you really enjoyed it.
Shinekai Yori: I haven't actually seen this one yet. But I've heard lots of good things. I don't know why I added this given I haven't seen it, I guess just to say I'm excited to watch it.
Higurashi (both seasons): Cool. I really like this series as well, and the reasons for that I'm sure are obvious. That's not to say I didn't have any problems with it. I blame Studio Deen more than anything for this one, but the animation was pretty terrible a lot of the time, which sometimes killed or cheapened moments that could've been more intense (I'd like to cite the infamous ladder scene in the second arc). It was also kind of a dumb move to spoil the ending of each arc right at the beginning of the arc. That said, season two was a definite improvement over the first.
Madoka Magica: Another great one, and my few complaints basically boil down to "this show would've been even better if it were a bit longer". Am I the only one who wishes they'll someday do a Homura-focused RPG retelling the story from her perspective? That'd be so cool!
Madoka Magica Rebellion: Opinions on this movie are clearly divided, but I'd fall in the neutral area between them. I loved every second of this movie, primarily the massive amounts of subtle background foreshadowing and the exploration of the repercussions of living through 20-ish years (according to the creators, supposedly) of time loops on Homura's psyche. On the other hand, depending on the followup, Shaft may be digging the Madoka franchise's grave with this one, thus wasting a great movie. I also fall in the middle ground with Homura's actions. She wanted the best for everyone, but was very selfish about it, not only doing it in a way that defies what they really want, but also in a way that gives her what she wants. She's extremely selfish and possessive, but is still genuinely trying to be selfless, even though her mind's definition has twisted over the loops. Homura did everything wrong, but her heart was in the right place.
Nichijou: HATSUKOI!! Itsumo no tsuugakuro pika-pika hikaru I do fall in love! Sora mo tobesou sa! Ka-ka-kata kataomoi!
This is easily the best anime comedy. No question.
Your name.: I liked it. I don't have much else to say.
Little Witch Academia: I still need to get into this one. I really enjoyed the original two LWA OVAs, so I'm surprised at myself for not jumping on that hype train the moment Netflix put it up. Why did you have to get Violet Evergarden, Netflix?
Steins;Gate: One of my top 3 anime, absolute rollercoaster of an anime
Haruhi movie: Easily the best anime franchise film i've seen and i'd go as far as to put it as my favourite anime film. I hated the TV series so for me to like the movie this much is a miracle. Not a single complaint over the film. Story was fantastic, music was amazing and it made all the characters likable and have proper depth which was a miracle.
K-on: never seen it but not really a fan of moe. No opinion here

Higurashi s1: Been a long time since I watched it, but I remember it just taking too long to resolve things.
Black Lagoon the Second Barrage: Revy&Co are still kicking ass, a really good continuation from s1
Madoka Magica: Had some twists and turns, and while i overall liked it, I didn't connect with the characters enough.
Nichibros: Hands down one of the funniest comedy anime I've seen, laughed every episode.
Non Non Biyori: Innocent, charming, relaxing, are just some words to describe Non non Biyori. It encapsulated almost everything I'd want from a series like this, and it was great.
Prison School: Over the top insanity, with good use of ecchi to boot, this is one I won't forget for a while.
RealmOMFG said: You have quite a few 10's and I really wouldn't know where to begin if I were to talk about all of them so I chose a few.
Well... XD
Tbh, there aren't so many per year and compared to the full list. I gave three 10s for the anime this year, I think... uhm yes. Made in Abyss, The Ancient Magus Bride and 2nd season Attack on Titan
Uhm and... imagine the last arc of Inuyasha, the 2nd season of Attack on Titan, maybe a little bit the 2nd season of Noragami, D.Gray-man, Death Parade, Neon Genesis Evangelion & movie and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood too, as 9++, because I love them. XD
Some are just not... Inuyasha is purely for the love in the 10s lol, same for the 2nd season of Attack on Titan.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Noragami because of the, sometimes not so right placed, comedy imo. D.Gray-man too & for some exhausting fillers & some abuse of Christian symbolism sometimes and Neon Genesis ... for fucking too much abuse of Christian symbolism. :'D
Maybe that "logic" goes for Shinsekai Yori as well. I found the characters a little bit boring, but I don't have the heart to rate Shinsekai Yori with a 9 haha.
RealmOMFG said: Good movie, and I can appreciate that someone found it to be a 10/10.
Thx ^^

I'm glad. :D

Mononoke Hime is for me personally the best 10 I have. ^^ Tho, I also have quite a lot nostalgic feelings towards it, but I also think, it really deserves it.
RealmOMFG said: Shinekai Yori: I haven't actually seen this one yet. But I've heard lots of good things. I don't know why I added this given I haven't seen it, I guess just to say I'm excited to watch it.
As I said, the characters were a little bit boring to me IMO.
Tho there is a novel (with Englisch fan translation, which you can find online) and if you are interested in it, you could read that after the anime to get an introperspective view of Saki's personality, thoughts and how she views her relationships and love for other characters.
But anyway, the characters are easy to get and you can have empathy with them, even if you shared my opinion that they were a little bit flat - maybe?
The world building and the story are really great and it will hit you right in the feels, like srsly. I mean, the end of the story will leave with you with an exhausting (in a good way) feeling and heavy mind, bc you can't forget that. D=
The art and animation are beautiful and eye candy. x3
The first ending song and video is my absolute favorite ED. *_* Let me show you this!
@Ericonator
Can't say that much about them. D= But I think, there is a reason, why Monster is highly praised?
You gave a rating of 10 to a lot of anime. Some of which I agree, some other less. Like Inuyasha. Although it made my childhood, I wouldn't give it a 10.
I haven't seen all the Madoka movies nor Death Parade so I can't comment on those, but although I thought One Punch Man and Shingeki no Kyojin were good anime, I wouldn't give them 10's. Still, they are in your favorites list so I suppose they mean more to you than to the average fan.
Most of your 10's seem to be of the Monogatari series which is kind of motivating me to watch it through. Also, Clannad: After Story seems to be a 10 which I'm gonna also watch is also motivating. I like that you don't pass out 10's too much but aren't so strict you have no or only one 10. I don't know. That's the best commentary I can make for not seeing any of them. Why did I post in this thread?
^peh-soh-nah
Tho, as I said, the abuse of symbolism is strong XD.
It was really impressive, because of the characters. Shinji is very believable and in some / many scenes likeable too (I don't know why they keep saying he isn't XD). Personally, I don't like mecha, but that doesn't matter. Really like the story and how much impression it left on me. Even if you don't like the other characters, you are able to get them on a deeper level. I liked Asuka, because I didn't like her lol. Tho, Rei was pretty good too.
The art style is pretty and the animation was very good for the 90s.
Some of them are deserved, but others less like attack on titan s2 doesn't deserve that high of a rating. At least you can explain your ratings unlike some other people.
Note: Check for my 9 instead. Don't mind To Love-Ru, Monster Musume and Sekirei (I have my reasons). The only 9 in my anime list is Ashita no Joe. And yes, I'm not even done yet.
