The character designs look totally different from the first two series but we can still recognize the characters! I can say that I am looking forward to the new series despite the rather cheesy title and I am looking forward to the trailer of the series! But Sunrise, please don't crush our dreams this time! :P

I've heard something similar.

Mao-Hime in the works, with Mao as main, and set in another universe for another Hime fight. But don't take my word for it. Internet may be fuzzy on this.

We'll I hope it should be a sequel to the orginal My HiME, hope it will better outcome when Fuuka is better city overall and possibly a dangerous threat will come to Fuuka and possibly no HiME battles on short, but I'm hoping old characters and new alot of characters coming soon in this new series.

Speaking of new series, in a couple of days they'll two new series for the HiME saga will come in winter 2009-2010, one should be the original sequel and other is the new series featuring the new character as well. They should be annoucing by today or in a couple days.

But a sequel huh... I guess it should be 300 years in the future then... So apparently the HiME star wasn't completely destroyed. Though I'd like to see a prequel detailing what happened in the previous HiME war where Mashiro had Kagutsuchi as a Child and all.

They supposed to be two series coming soon HiME, one for an original sequel and the second is an new series, but eventually both projects are gonna be divided on they working it by the end of this year. New saga is in it's novel stages, nothing too great and possibly they are gonna at least 52 episodes each as well for both series.

Two series makes it even more awesome! It would be awesome if the characters from the original series come back. Also, Yuki Kajiura should come back to score the series since she didn't in Mai-Hime 0~S.ifr~

Well, it can be a sequel without being 300 years in the future since in the end of the series Nagi said that was only the beginning so that could imply another kind of threat.

About those two projects... Apparently the main character of the Mai-Hime sequel will be Arika (or so I've heard). I'm sorry Arika fans but I just hate her with all my might, and just thinking she will be the main character makes me cry. ~_~'' She's like... the female version of Naruto, I could imagine her saying "Believe it!". Enough is enough, she already got Zwei why must she appear in Mai-Hime's sequel too? >_> *rants*

The only think that annoys me about Arika is her personality, she's looks like Naruto: "Love will beat all! Follow your dreams, blah,blah~" So, I have to see Mao's personality before criticising her. Though I would prefer Mai to be the main character to begin with since she was the original main character.

Like my friend Akane-kun always like to say, "The original is always the best", and I do believe its true.

Arika for a Mai-Hime sequel? WTF? Seriously? WTF? Even if its in the talks the thought of it is really awkward. I mean she already has her own series, which is Mai-Otome, and now she's gonna be the main character of a Mai-Hime sequel. I have to agree with you that I would like to see Mao's personality before judging her as a character.

Arika is like Naruto than Mao is supposed to be Ichigo from Bleach then, but that possible. The one I want to see much more in the third series between Mai putting her true test on the line and criticize her doubters against the "True One" known as Rena Sayers, think about and just look at the possible between both of them and this could happened in the sequel or in new series. Look at this, it could be one of the most intriguing rivalries from a long time.

That would be awesome! It would be one of the most epic rivalries of all time since King Kong and Godzilla, Freddy and Jason, Alien and Predator, whatever, but this is something everyone can look forward to.

Seeing Mai vs Rena wouldn't be a bad thing to watch, specially counting that Rena is the Goku of My-Otome XD It would be an epic battle. Then again we could get Shizuru to boob grab her to submission (who remembers the epic boob grab scene by M-9 in Sifr?)

Anyways, I could bear with some new characters in Mai-Hime, if it doesn't get to My-Otome extent, we had 9077097 characters and didn't get to develop their personalities. And I do think we already have pretty cool characters in MH that didn't get enough love namely: Akane, Chie and Aoi (I would say Yukariko but she kinda annoys me XD). Plus I think we need more drunk, Nao molesting Midori in the series. XD

I too would like to see Mai getting the lead role for a sequel. I mean its possible since she is the lead character for the original series. But I wouldn't want Arika getting the lead role again. No, no, no... since she apparently has her own series. According to Akane-kun (or Mai Tokiha on Animesuki), someone over at Animesuki mentioned that Mai-Otome, while not being too bad of a spinoff actually milked the franchise off (in that guy's opinions, BTW). A sequel or prequel would be much better he says, and this is something I have t agree with.

Alot of people would not agree on this but I would like to see Takumi gained some character development and possibly become the next Obsidian Lord and If there's another Obisdian, there got to be a King in this who causing all of this and possible we may have the new Sith of Mai HiME. We'll see how the dark side will go from each HiME and new acronym for it.

Guess I need to start reading Star Wars and Gundam novels for my fanfic and get alot of insight
