| Seeing that I enjoy Harem's over ecchi, for I believe ecchi can easily sit-aside, while if the Harem Aspect is gone from a show, it will just be a tit-fest with nothing to it. What can I expect from a Harem/Ecchi that I cannot from just an Ecchi? Easy, a bit of character introduction, and an, albeit usually not that in-depth, cohesive plot. Why do I enjoy Ecchi/Harem's? Well, that's slightly less simple. There's something quite beautiful in watching people explicitly push after the one they love to beat out the other "competitors." There's something invigorating about watching a girl as she slowly falls deeper and deeper in love with a male character, while she still knows that she may be left lonely in the end. Love is harsh, and the creation a genre that depicts love for what it can be in a way that comes across light-hearted was one of the most genius things to come out of the Anime World. On a side note: I'm a dude, so watching cute (I won't be a cunt who says, "LOOK TITS! SO HAAAAAWAT-DESU!") girls chase after one single dude is appealing. |

| Most ecchi/harem are light on story/plot which is good. More of a change of pace show to watch when I'm not in the mood to think. As long as it has some sort of plot and a slight addition to the standard 5 girls that like a guy in school setting. The ecchi aspect is more comic relief that is good when not relied upon. Characters can show off their feminine allure in more ways than panty shots and titties flopping around(It is welcome every now and then). I can put up with a wimpy MC, sub-par plot, and some lolis as long as at least one of the girls is appealing and the outcome isn't obvious from the first episode. It is similar to cheering for a team to win. A harem makes you want to hold out for the victory at the end. |

| Because I like shipping. The act of cheering the character I like make me happy. If they win it will make me happier. And ecchi is just a bonus for laugh. |

| For me Ecchi is just a bonus too...I mean theres hentai right? anyway what I enjoy in harem anime is the romance and ofc the plot.. take DxD for example, it has a TON of ecchi and fan service so people think that the only reason for watching it is because of ECCHI which is wrong in my opinion. When I skimmed though the LN of it I figured that this anime has a lot of potential and not just a mindless ecchi anime. |
